Gray Hair & How To Take Care Of It?

So now that I've shown how to GET GRAY HAIR, I'd like to tell you how to maintain it. As I told in the first post, gray hair color is probably one of the most time, money and effort consuming color that there is. I've had black, pink, light brown, dark brown, orange, white and blond hair and as a naturally brown haired person, everything that has something to do with bleaching is very frustrating at times. However I was and am very obsessed with the color gray - I just love it, so it was only natural to try it out as a hair color.

First thing you need to know, is that you're gonna need to spend a lot more time in the shower after you've obtained the gray hair, because keeping it good looking is almost as hard as getting it. The gray colors only attach to blond/very blond hair. If there are any traces of brown or extreme yellowness, the gray color will say "NOPE" and run away. Sometimes I had to bleach my roots 2 times before the gray color actually stick. And as we know, bleaching is not good for your hair. SO keep that in mind before even thinking about dyeing your hair gray, because IF your hair is naturally very dark and/or it's not in good condition, the multiple bleaching can actually cause your hair to fall off and you're left with very damaged, dry and short hair. This happened to my sister ones when she recklessly bleach and dyed her hair over and over again - and did not listen to my warnings.

But now I'm going to show you the products that I use on my gray hair, that keeps the hair and also the color in a good shape! (You can also use some of these products on any hair color, because most of them are not meant for just gray hair).

STEP # 1
A good silver shampoo is what you're gonna need! This is by far the best one that I've bumped into and the price is reasonable. I usually let it affect about 2 minutes before rinse. It might leave a touch of lilac in your hair if you're not careful. No gloves needed. Just wet your hair and take a good amount of the shampoo and leave it for a moment and rinse off. This actually washes your hair so you don't need to wash you hair with a normal shampoo before using this ( like you need to do with some other silver shampoos). I also like that fact that it comes in a pump bottle! So L´ORÈAL Professionnel Silver shampoo, expert series. You can find it from hair saloons and special hair stores.

STEP # 1.5
You don't always have to use a silver shampoo, you can also use a regular one, but I would recommend to get one that treats your hair. I found this shampoo very lovely! It smells really nice and it immediately makes your hair more soft and silky. Because in order to keep your hair gray, it needs to be moisturized. No color will stick to dry and damaged hair. You can find this shampoo in basically any shop and it's very cheap. So no extra money spent there and I think it's a good value for money. (Pantene PRO-V, repair and protect shampoo)

STEP # 2
To keep the color gray, you need to add it at least on every third wash. I usually add some color on every second wash. Sometimes I'm too lazy and add it only on every third wash, and it immediately shows on my hair! This is the best product to add in the shower for some extra color! I already talked about this in the first post, so I'm not gonna blabber about it too much now, so just go check out the older post from HERE. This gives a really cool and nice gray color and it's so easy to apply and use. Just leave it on after shampooing for about 5 minutes and rinse. Instead of using this, you can also use the WELLA color fresh 7/19 or other quick fix colors that do not contain ammonia. (Gray Color treatment - EVERY ANNADONNA).

STEP # 3
I basically don't use a conditioner too much, because I found this! It's a GARNIER Respons, Caring Mask. It's really cheap, around 4-6 euros and it's extremely durable! I've had mine for over two months and I use it on almost every wash. It has Avocado and Shea Butter and it smells amazing! I didn't see any difference in my hair for the first two weeks, but after that I noticed that my hair was in so much better condition! It was less course and electric and very soft and silky and more glossy. I recommend this to everyone! But especially for those who color their hair and use many heat tools like curlers and blow dryers. You can basically find it from bigger stores. Pppsssttt! This series also has a shampoo, that's also SO LOVELY! I recommend it. It's very similar to the Pantene's shampoo and they're both amazing.

STEP # 4
After showering, when your hair is still damp, apply this dry oil to your hair! It also smells amazing, moisturizing your hair leaving it less frizzy and dry and also reduces electricity in your hair. It does not come off as oily and dirty, but shiny and extremely soft! This one has a Vitamin E in it. It does not have any heat protection aspects to it, so use a proper heat protection product before blow drying or using any curlers etc. I really recommend this if you live in a cold country and your hair tends to get really electric because of the cold and dry air. This is a durable and cheap and easy to find. I payed maybe 7 euros from it and i've had it for many months now, and there's still over half left. ( PANTENE PRO-V, Dry Oil).

STEP # 4.5
This is also a wonderful dry oil! It's a bit pricey, and you can only find it from hair saloons and stores. (at least in Finland) It's KMS California TAME FRIZZ dry oil. This smells also very good and it's durable. It gives an intense shine and moisturizes and this one has a heat and humidity protection in it. I add it to damp but also on dry hair to give some extra shine. I really recommend to use some sort of dry oil. This one was a bit more expensive, it was 22 euros. But I think it's worth it!

STEP # 5
Last step, is to use some gray hair colors to really volume up the grayness of your hair. I just found this new color from Finland and I'm not yet sure if it's sold in anywhere else? I think it's made in Poland, but it still could be a Finnish color. But I really liked it! I bought two of these from an exhibition, and it only costed 10€/2 packs. So really cheap! It has ammonia in it so I was quite cautious with it, but the color came out really nice! Like deep, ash gray. This is a permanent color so it should stay a bit longer than the other ones. The color is not as dark as it seems on the package, but it's really nice. One of the best ones I know. But once again, the hair needs to be quite blond before using this. (AROMA INTENSE, Permanent Silver Blond Color).

So this is my guide to good and healthy hair and color! You need to use a bit more time if you want a healthy hair. One good product is Virgin Coconut Oil. It's natural and does not contain ANY chemicals. You can use is as a conditioner in a shower and also as a mask. Just apply it to your hair in the evening, sleep on it and wash it off in the shower next morning. The coconut oil is very oily so use a plastic film or bag on your hair or cover your pillow with a towel - otherwise everything is oily. Also put your hair up on a bun, for preventing a huge mess - it's also better for you hair to sleep with a loose bun, because it prevents friction and tangles. (and it also adds some volume to yous hair!). Once I bleached my roots 2 times in one day at a saloon and my scalp was SO ITCHY and burning. I rubbed a whole lot of coconut oil on my scalp and slept on it and in the morning my scalp was completely healed! You cannot use coconut oil as a dry oil, because it leaves you hair so oily looking that it's almost disgusting. So you need to wash/rinse it.

Cold Finnish Summer = fighting against cancer

The summer is almost over, so I thought it would be a great time to tell you a bit about how my summer was and to be honest, I think this was the worst summer in my life.

First of all the so called ''summer'' that we have had here in Finland is probably the coldest one in a history. It's not usually very hot in here and that's fine ( I hate sweating and extreme heat ), but this year the temperature has got barely over 15 degrees Celsius - and that's cold even for a Finnish summer. And also we've had so much rain. So while the rest of the Europe is having super heat ( 28-37 degrees) I've been wearing my leather jacket and thick stockings the whole ''''''summer''''''.

Second thing, at the beginning of the summer my Mother was diagnosed with cancer. She's only 53 and very skinny and doesn't smoke or drink, so it was a bit of a surprise. A few years ago my Mother's father had a cancer and thankfully it was healed. My Mother has now had the surgery and she's currently at a sick leave from work and I've been staying at home taking care of Nemo and Mom. Thank goodness I haven't been sick in these couple of moths. I went to see my Mom at the hospital after the surgery and me and my brother went to get her home the next day. We cooked her a three-course meal and I bought her flowers and a card. She was so happy and thankful. I've also been with her in every hospital visit and hugged her when she's been feeling hopeless. So I have to stay strong for her. If I crumble, she might as well. I'm very proud of her tough.... Only once she has started to cry when she was in a lot of pain. And I don't mean that she shouldn't cry, but I just feel like she's dealing with this whole thing very well. We all are and that's mostly because we're quite open about this whole matter and we have a loving family and friends who really support us.

Also my/our oldest dog (Mokka) was almost about to die for a couple of times this summer. She's already 12½ years and very sick, taking about 5 drugs in a day, but she's very lively and happy when she has a better period, so we're not giving up on her just yet. We've been talking about putting her to rest, if she gets any worse or is in serious pain. But just the thought of that is almost too much for me.

So yeah, a very, very shitty summer for me, eh?

But we did also do some fun things! We could not travel far because of my mother's condition, so we only did day trips to beautiful Finnish cities.

First was Hanko! It's actually the most southern place of Finnish mainland. We do have many islands that are more in the south, but this is the most southern city. It's about 1½-2 hours car ride from our capital, Helsinki. Hanko is a very beautiful small city that has long and beautiful beaches and absolutely gorgeous old villas. So we took Nemo with and went off to experience some beach life.

But of course, since we're geographically in the zone of ''fu*k you Northern people'', the day turned out to be cold and windy.... No need to think about getting burned in the sun.

I have to say, that even though I love the vasts forests of Thailand and Asia and the green Mountains of Germany
I still think this is very beautiful. Just plain sea and rocks. I don't know if it's just a Scandinavian thing?

This is a face of true happiness! We went to a restaurant called
Makaronitehdas (Macaroni factory) and they had SO amazing
pasta dishes!

I had hand made pasta, red wine sauce with herbs, lamb fillet and
Parmesan cheese. It was absolutely divine!

Nemo went to take a swim in the sea and after a great deal of running
and exploring he got tired and wanted some patting.

I did, of course, have a bottle of water for Nemo in my zombie backpack and also his towel and some treats. In Finland you can't always take your dog inside a restaurant - usually the terrace is OK, but not always. So we always have to make sure and ask beforehand if dogs are allowed. This is quite annoying since at least in Germany it was a exception if dogs were not allowed inside some restaurants or cafes. But Finland is a bit 'stiff' when it comes to things like these.

We also went into a few shops and drove around and admired the beautiful villas - and took only 1 picture of them. Poor me.

On out next trip we went to Porvoo. It's also a very small but very old and beautiful city. This time my brother joined us. Unfortunately I don't have lots of pictures from the city itself, and that's mainly because we've been there many times, so I didn't even think about taking pictures. lol. But we did take some... Porvoo is about 45 minutes drive from Helsinki and it's a very iconic Scandinavian city that is very popular tourist sight during the summer. There are a lot of little iconic and cute shops that sell antiques and hand made products. There is also Brunberg's factory shop, a big Finnish chocolate factory, that has been making sweets for almost 150 years. Porvoo is also known for it's great food and restaurants and also it's idyllic small cafes.

I managed to close my eyes just when the picture was taken. My brother still browsing the Menu. We were in a restaurant near the river bank called Fryysarinranta. Don't really know what it means... lol.

I really did you a favor when censoring my face... I had a VERY
stupid look because my Mom forced me to pose in front of
the restaurant. Nemo didn't like it either. Look at his face!

I also have to tell you that I HATE MOSQUITOES!!!!!! This happened at the beginning of the summer. We were actually in Helsinki and I got bitten by a mosquito 10 ( I mean really, TEN?) times on my legs. Mostly on my left knee. And as I am allergic to many things I think I'm also a little allergic to mosquito bites, because look at my legs!!

You can't see all the 10 bites, and the picture somehow doesn't show the most brutal aspect of these bites - they were so itchy and swollen! I couldn't wear thin stockings 'cos my legs were so ugly, red and malformed. I even tried to apply some makeup on them, but nothing worked. This was about 2½ months ago and I still have a tiny bruise on some of the biggest bites. Thank you, you little pieces of jhdhgligvnpu*!="?) !!!!!

Now I have to go and take Nemo out. I just gave him a bath this morning, and now our whole apartment smells so good! Every time he runs past or a wind blows from his direction, you can smell a sweet scent of lilies. So to the ones who say that dogs smell: it only depends on the owner. Nemo never smells bad. We even brush his teeth so his breath is also very scentless. And he's almost 5 years old already.

Veni, Vidi, Vici = Journey to Rome. (Lots of pictures)

Hello my Pumpkins! It's been a long time again. I've had way too many things on my mind in the past few months and only now I find myself able to actually update my blog. This post is going to be mostly about our trip to Rome, Italy. I went there with my mother and older brother. I've been to Italy quite many times before, but never in Rome. I've been to Garda, Riccione, Venice... but I've never been to the actual capital of Italy? I've noticed that I have this sort of habit that I don't visit the country's capital - I've been to Germany maybe over 15 times, but only once in Berlin ( and even that was just for one day), Thailand two times, not in Bangkok, France 3 times never in Paris.. And the list goes on.

We all had BIG and I mean HUGE hopes for Rome. I mean it's one of the most famous capitals in the world and every year somewhere between 7-10 million tourists go to see and to fall in love with Rome. I was waiting for the whole ''falling in love'' -experience, but somehow I did not get it.. Let me tell you why.

Okay so first of all I've traveled quite a lot. I've been to maybe 15 different countries and most of them more than once so I can say that I have some sort of experience about the matter, but never have I encountered such an unwelcome feeling while traveling. Most of the local people in Rome where SO RUDE, and for the record I'm from Finland for gods sake and we're not famous for our warmth, but still I can tell you that most Finns have much better manners than what I received from the people in Rome. And I'm not talking about the tourists here.. It was rare if the salesclerk actually looked you in the eye or smiled. Most of the time these women (yes, most of them were women) didn't even say anything although I tried to be nice and say ''Buongiorno!'' with a smile and an eye contact. After a while I stopped it since I did not receive any response.

But I have to say that the actual city of Rome was SO beautiful! All the architecture and scenery... I loved it. And as a person interested in art I found the Vatican one of the most beautiful places that I've ever been to.

I'm not a religious person... I actually resigned from church as soon as I was able to, but I was still very swayed by the magnitude of everything there. All the art and all the hours of labor that has gone into making the whole place. It's something unbelievable that you just have to experience yourself to understand.

And even though this was not something that I personally believe in, I still respect the people who does and I respect their rules. And one of them was to cover your knees and shoulders when entering the holy places like the churches. This was somewhat problematic to me since it was hot (for me at least) and I did not want to put black jeans on... So I decided to put a maxi dress and take a leather jacket with me so that I can cover my shoulders. Unless you had a proper outfit, you're not allowed to enter the church.

Alright that's enough of the Vatican. Since we actually did go to other places too... JUST one thing I have to say as a woman to another woman - prepare to hold your liquids in. I mean I'm actually quite sure that the Pope does not have to pee since there were almost no toilets at all. It took us about 4 hours to quickly go through the Museums and the Sistine Chapel and the Saint Peter's Basilika and the only toilets after the Museums were at the square in front of the church. And ofc the queue was as long as Finnish winter. But it was all because of two Italian toilet Nazis, who let only 3 women in 5 minutes inside these HUGE toilets. They were totally controlling the queue and smoking like chimneys and talking bullshit at the same time. Made me really angry.....

So we also visited the Colosseum and the Palatine Hills. Unfortunately my Mother's phone was stolen in the queue of Colosseum and it did not help the growing hatred against the local people. The queue to the Colosseum was a total madness! We had bought the tickets beforehand from the internet and we had to chance the printed tickets into a ''real'' tickets at the Colosseum. We had to wait 3 different times to actually get inside the whole place. And meanwhile trying to survive with all the madness my mother had left her purse open for a few minutes and PUFF the phone was gone. Immediately we called from my phone to Finland to close my mother's phone, but it did leave a nasty feeling inside to be hoaxed like that and ofc my mother blamed herself because she was not careful for one minute. We have never had anything stolen from us before - except in Spain where there was a break in to our apartment and some clothes were stolen.

and the wild animals and beasts were kept.

It was a very hot day and there were no wind so whenever I could
find a shade I went there like a bear to honey. I also had sunscreen
and my brother did not so he had red face and shoulders at the
end of the day - i did not. yay!

The first day. I was so tired for having about 2-3 hours
of sleep that night. I woke up at 3 o'clock.

Unfortunately the Fountain di Trevi was under construct so this was
the only bit that we saw from it. But if you Google it, it's very, very
pretty.

I also have to add that we were so excited about the food in Rome. I was waiting it like a madman and had a great hopes for it, but like the people the food was also a big disappointment. I've had so much better Italian food in Finland and also in elsewhere in Italy that it felt like we were being deceived. The food was a bit cheaper than in Finland but the quality of the food and the service was nothing like in Finland. Of course there were some amazing restaurants that we visited more than once, and where the service was very kind and excellent, but there were absolutely too many bad places. There were so many restaurants that it was hard to choose which one to go to and we tried to find the places where the locals go to, but still we found ourselves disappointed after the meal. My brother's friend who's an Italian also said that the food and the people are not as good in Rome as they are in elsewhere in Italy. Yep, I noticed that.

We also did some shopping on Via del Corso and there were some really good shops there. I also wanted to go to the Disney store and I bought some cute things and one Star Wars mug from there. We also did some shopping on Via Cola di Rienzo, near the Vatican. But no pictures were taken from these days. So it looks like I had the same clothes all the time, but I did not. haha.

In the end we all where somewhat baffled by this trip. We maybe had too big expectations and when the reality did not match them, we found ourselves a bit sad. Everyone else who has been to Rome said they'd go back there and that they absolutely loved it, but I must say, that I'm not sure if I want to go back. It was a brilliant experience and I enjoyed spending time with my family, but maybe I'll go to somewhere else next time? I would like to see the Tuscany and Sorrento someday...

If you're ever going to see the magnificent Rome I must give you an advice: Prepare everything beforehand. And I mean EVERYTHING. Get all the tickets from the internet because it's not only cheaper it's also efficient since most of the time you can skip a huge queue if you have already purchased the tickets. Maintain calm. If you want to go to the big sights you have to wait in all sorts of different lines while there're hundreds and maybe thousands of people around you. Be careful and do not trust everyone. Keep your bags tightly closed at all times and do not leave your phone/wallet out of your sight. The Mob is controlling many criminal organizations and there are people who try to sell you all sorts of things including a VIP passport to the Vatican and also all sorts of little gadgets and gizmos. Do NOT fall for these tricks. Also be aware of the Taxis - they can also hoax you. Do not get a picture taken with/by a man dressed in a Gladiator suite - he's most likely with the mob. Make sure you have small bills, since it's common that they give you less money back than what they should.

We were lucky that it was only my mother's phone that got stolen, since it was a work phone she got a new one right away from her workplace. Also do not expect the people to be kind to you. There are also kind and warmhearted people in Rome, but they're a minority. I think the people in there are just a bit cocky about being a Roman and they're also tired of the tourists. The same thing that's going on in Paris, i think.

This post came out Reeeeeaaallly long. And I didn't even say everything that I would have wanted to, but I hope you enjoyed it and if you want to go to Rome, then go for it! It's a beautiful and amazing city and maybe you fall in love with it more than I did. I hope you do...

I Replace the Reality With Art

I forgot to mention this: I did this deer skull for a X-mas present to my aunt's new boyfriend. He's almost 2 meters tall and rides a Harley Davidson and listens to (ofc) heavy metal. So when he asked me to draw/paint him something as a present I panicked. I have in some ways a dark imagination and style in art, but I was still nervous. So I decided to go with a deer skull. I did it with 4 different pencils - one was very hard and three were softer.

The picture is not so good since I was in a hurry and had to take a picture of it in a poor light.... Not in daylight as I would have wanted.

And this was the original model.

The right antler looks little bit too big, but that's just because the paper is a bit bent. (the right one is bigger irl, but not that much). I really enjoyed doing this and I guess I'll have another go with some other animal skull in the future. Maybe add some color to it, too. And I'm not able to take a better picture of it, since X-mas already went and that work is with its new owner now - in Germany to be precise.

Grey/Gray Hair Colors Review - what, from where and how much?

I know I promised a shoe review, but somehow I got inspired to do a post about gray/grey hair colors: what colors are the best, where you can get them and how much do they cost.

I've had this color now for over two years and during that time, I've come quite familiar with many of the hair colors on the market. Of course I haven't tried them all, but I could easily say that I've tried most of them. During this time I've noticed that gray hair has grown in popularity and even though many people on the streets give me the weird look, so many have also told me that this color is amazing and wondered how I'm able to maintain it. And I'm talking about total strangers on the shop counter or restaurants. (In Amsterdam and London my hair was a big hit - so many people came to tell me that my hair is amazing, which is SO NICE!)

But before the hair colors a word of wisdom: Gray color is the hardest color to maintain at least if you have naturally dark hair ( as I do) and it takes up your time, patience and money. I go once a year to a hair saloon to get rid of the dark roots from around my head, and 2 times a year I blond my roots at home by myself. And getting the bleached hair gray is sometimes almost impossible. Somehow the color doesn't seem to attach to some parts of my hair and even after 2 years the parts are still a bit too yellow for my taste. But if you're ready to spend time and money on your hair then go for it!! And now to the colors:

I'll give each product stars from 1-5. one being the lowest score and five being the highest. This is the rate of how good the product is, how easy it is to find and how much does it cost.

1.) The POP COLOR hairgum - gris acier (✰✰✰½)

Even though the name of the color is this Gris Acier it's basically dark gray. This color is the most attachable one. It sticks to your hair, your hands and your sink like an leech. It also might give your hair a bit blueish color if you're not careful with it. Use plastic gloves with this color unless you want to have blue/purple hands. They changed the formula at some point and made it less runny and easier to handle. This color is quite hard to come by. You might find it from Ebay or Amazon. If you're a Finn, you can buy it from this website: Kampaamokauppa (click, click). It's not the most expensive ones, rates from 7-13€. (Suomalaisille, jos tilaat tuolta kampaamokaupasta, ota huomioon aikas suuret postituskulut. Halvin postimaksu on matkahuollolla ~9€.) To sum it up:

This is a French made color and it's a basic tool in my coloring set. Good for freshly bleached roots. Be careful with the time on this one. Sticks to everything! Semi permanent color - no treatment features. Hard to find, but quite cheap. One bottle is very durable.

2.) La Riche Directions - semi permanent color SILVER
(✰½)

So this is one of the most easy color to come by, you can find them from goth/rock shops and from Amazon and Ebay. It's inexpensive rating up from 5-6€. But that's basically all that's good in this product: the jar is very small, it won't last long, it takes ages to work and it really doesn't make your hair gray. It MIGHT take off some of the yellow color in your white hair, but it's no where near making it actually gray. If you want white hair, this could work. It's very mild and washes off very quick. Other colors if this brand might work, but this one is just not worth your money. So it's a no go. If you still want to try it out, here's some websites:

3.) Gatsby Natural Bleach&Color - Aqua Silver (✰✰✰)

A Japanese hair color from Gatsby. This is not a semi permanent, but a permanent color with ammonia. Which means that this might do some harm to your hair and it's very effective. Don't use this if you have one of these things: hair in bad condition, very blond hair or very thin hair. I tried it in Japan in 2012 summer and I had a very white hair and it turned my hair dark purple even though I kept it only for 10 minutes. I have used this afterwards for the yellow roots and it works well! Just be careful with this. If possible do a small test on your hair before applying it to your whole head. This is quite expensive, not conditioning and permanent and hard to find. you can buy it from Ebay or Amazon, but with shipping it can be as expensive as 20-24€ per product with few exceptions. This is a bit hard color to use and ever harder to come by, unless you're in Japan - if that's the case you can find this in almost all Don Quijote stores and from some drug stores.

4.) Every annadonna Gray color treatment (✰✰✰✰½)

Another Japanese color. This one is one of my personal favorites. It's very easy to use (can be used as a conditioner, because of the treatment aspect) and smells good. The consistency is thick and plum-colored. It takes about 5-10 minutes to affect and it gives a nice gray shade. It doesn't stick too easily to sinks and walls or your hands, so gloves are not that important. I bought mine from Tokyo, Shinjuku's ALTA and it costed about 15€ with that year's currencies. It's quite durable. The only downside is that it's hard to come by unless you're in Japan. However you can find it (again) from Amazon or Ebay, but it's quite expensive. My friend just went to Japan and I asked her to bring me this, since I really like it a lot.

5.) WELLA Color Fresh 7/19 (✰✰✰✰½)

This is also one of my favorites. It's easy to use, smells very good and it affects quickly and gives a nice color. It's not too hard and it has a small treatment aspect to it so I basically use this at least in every second time in shower. If you keep it too long it might turn a bit blue/lilac, but that's just normal with the grey colors. It foams in wet hair and it's easy to apply. Gloves are not necessary. It's quite a small bottle but it's quite durable. In my opinion it gives the best color if you want to dye your hair from blond to gray. Darker hair must be bleached before use. This series also has a color 10/81, but that just mainly takes off yellow from blond hair. I just discovered that there is also a darker grey shade 5/19 and now I'm really interested to try it out! If I can find it somewhere....You can find it from Amazon or Ebay but I usually buy this from some hair stores. I found many pages for Finns to buy this, but not so many international sites. (Suomalaisille: Helsingissä on city-käytävällä kampaamokauppa sitruuna, joka myy tätä, mut se on usein loppu. Oon löytänyt myös joistain muista kampaamokaupoista ja salongeista tätä. Vaatii vähän etsimistä. Voit löytää myös Stockmannilta ja stockan netistä.) This costs about 12-15€/bottle but it's worth it. If you have long hair and you use this to color blond to gray you may end up using this whole bottle so buy 2 instead. I use it in showers to correct the already gray hair. It has very small amount of ammonia.

6.) Men's Palty Waterwax Hair Color Silver (✰✰½)

Another color from Japan. As the stars show, I was not too pleased with this. Yes, it was easy to apply, but the color was very light gray (almost non-existing) and it washed off within the next shampoo wash. This has a strange name, waterwax which basically just indicates the consistency of this product. It comes in a small plastic jar and inside is some small bottles that you mix up and it turns into a elastic jam / wax and it's easy to apply, but once again if you have a long/thick hair, one of these won't do anything. You have to have a very blond, almost white hair to have any affect on it. I bought this from Tokyo's Don Quijote and if I remember correctly it was about 10-13€. you can buy this from retail stores like Ebay and Amazon, but if you have some other option, don't buy this - it's really not worth it. If you want to have your hair a bit more gray for 1 week, then this is the thing for you. Otherwise, don't bother.

And here I'll just quickly list some other products that you might find in some hair stores and saloons:

✦ L'ORÉAL Silver Shampoo Expert ✰✰✰½ : best silver shampoo I have tried. Comes in good sized bottles and has a good value. Easy to find. Doesn't make your hair gray, but it's good for gray hair anyways.

✦ Biozell Professional Color Mask Silver ✰✰: Not too expensive color mask treatment, but it does sh*t to your hair if you have gray hair. It's so light lilac that it has no effect on my hair. But at least it treats the hair and I just basically use it as a conditioning. Easy to find in Finland.

✦ KC Professional Color Mask Silver ✰✰: This is very similar to the Biozell's Color Mask, but I think it's slightly more pricey. Again, a good product as a conditioner, but has no effect on grey hair. Easy to find.

✦ KC Professionals Four Reasons Silver Shampoo ✰✰½: Not as good silver shampoo as the L'ORÈAL's shampoo, but it's easy to find and not too expensive.

✦ Stargazer Semi Permanent Hair Color Silver ✰✰: Easy to use blue color, that does NOT make your hair gray. Might take off some of the yellow vibes in your hair, but that's it. Very cheap product, if you're able to find it. Doesn't have a conditioning effect. Once again, don't bother if you're looking for gray hair color.

✦ Lolane Pixxel Permanent Intense Grey ✰✰✰½: Easy to find from Ebay or Amazon, and it's very, very cheap for a hair dye that has ammonia. The color is not as intense and dark as they suggest in the box, but be cautious with it. It's a product from Thailand so you have no guidebook. Unless you know Thai. Use plastic gloves while handling this, since it has ammonia. Good for yellow roots. Do a test coloring if possible, since every ones hair acts differently. I have quite thick and rough hair so it might not be too intense for me, but it might be for you.

Dress Me Up!

I'm listening to Of Monsters and Men and trying to be proactive! I already reduced the size of this one dress that I bought and made one old jumper into a pillowcase - sounds weird but it actually worked out quite well! I just have to add some buttons on it so I'll be able to close it up. Here's the pillow:

I can tell you that the fabric is soooo rubbery! I could never have worn the jumper in the first place 'cos of the fabric, but I like that Dia de Los Muertos -style picture so I decided to recycle the whole shirt.

I promised that I would show the new dress that I bought, so here it is!

pssst! Just so you know, I didn't have basically any eye make up (hence the sunglasses) and my hair is also just on a quick messy bun so don't judge my look, okay?

I must wear some sort of jacket with this dress during the autumn/winter, since the dress is so open
that otherwise I would freeze.

Other option for the leather jacket is this furry coat. It's quite warm and very comfortable.

I also thought about these shoes. They're heel is much higher
but they're so comfortable on! Both coat and shoes are bought
from retail shops.

So which one of these looks do you prefer? Or should I mix them up? Leather jacket or fur coat? The dress came with see-trough straps, and I think I'm gonna put them on because I don't trust the dress to stay up just because it's tight - and the last thing I wanna end up is having my boobs blob out in the middle of a party. LOL. That would certainly light up the night. I was thinking about wearing this at my step-mother's 50th Birthday party in next month. And of course I'm gonna wear my hair down with curls and without the sunglasses, because like Dean Winchester said, everyone who wears shades indoors is a douche. Hehe.

Oh and PS. we went to Linnanmäki last month with my three friends. For someone who doesn't know, Linnanmäki is an amusement park in Helsinki. It's over 50-years-old and therefore the oldest amusement park in Finland. This was also the last time we saw Rina, since she moved to Australia after this. I miss her so much! She's the one in the red shirt.

Even worse I'm with bags - I buy one and use it everyday for years and then I buy another one. Shame on me for being bad at being a woman! But I have always been a little manly in some ways. You should see my movie collection! I just counted that I have almost 250 movies plus TV-series on DVD. And they're all action or horror movies. I have almost 30 zombie movies..... yeah. true story bro! (well I have LOTR, Hobbits and Star Wars movies too........)

How to get rid of weight and spots

So I'm finally here to tell you about the method I'm using to lose weight! TADAAAH! *intense drumming and cheering* I'm not a sort of person who will fall into these fashion diets that promise you to loose weight in 2 weeks with minimal effort, so I've never tried any of these super fast diets like carping, Atkins or lemon juice detox diets. And the first thing why I try to avoid these fashion diets is because they're usually not healthy. So I really have to be convinced that the diet and the long term side effects are healthy for your body before I even consider trying it.

So I watched two documents about fasting and in those documents they told that actually human is made for fasting: when we were still hunting our own food there were days when no prey was caught and we had to survive some days with no food and our bodies are made to endure the stress of fasting and actually it is also very healthy! In the documents they told numerous cases in which people have actually recovered from chronic headaches and even had better health during cancer treatments due to fasting. They had proven that while a person fasts the body starts to heal and regenerate cells by itself - it's still unknown WHY the body does this, but the scientist think that it's a surviving mechanism.

After I had watched these two documents I bought a book (written by an English doctor, Michael Mosley) about fasting. And this was way before the diet got famous and became a fashion scene. I read the book about the 5:2 diet and decided to give it a go. If You don't know about the diet, it's about fasting 2 days a week and during those fasting days you're only allowed to eat 500 calories per day. You have to take two days that are NOT sequentially for example I fasted Monday and Wednesday/Thursday.

The first two to three weeks was quite hard. During those fasting days I got really hungry and sometimes even weak. But after the three weeks my body started to get used to the fasting and it got a lot easier. Also at first there were no change in my body and I was about to loose hope but then at the end of the fifth week I really noticed a change. Our scale is broken so I couldn't use it but I measured my body after every week and at the end of the fifth week I had lost : 2 cm from my waist, 2 cm from my hips, 1½ cm from my arms, 2 cm from my thighs and 4 cm from my butt. And I had done zero excessive exercising!

I ended the diet when we went to Japan with my friends, since I wanted to enjoy the Japanese cuisine and not think about fasting while I'm there. Well after the trip I measured myself again and what do you know I had lost 3 cm from my waist! In two weeks! YAY JAPAN!! So after doing the fasting diet for 3 months I had lost: 6 cm from waist, 7 cm from hips, 3 cm from arms, 5 cm from thighs and 6½ cm from butt. And also my appetite is smaller so even though I quit the diet I continue to lose weight due to the fact that my stomach is now smaller because of the fasting! And I think that's really the key point of this diet.

So what did I eat during the fasting days ? At morning I ate one rye bread, at work during lunch I drank 4 deciliters of very low calorie strawberry soup. After work at home I ate one chicken breast with salt and pepper and some long green beans. And if I got hungry in the evening I made some Miso-soup. I also drank a LOT of water and some tea and coffee - with just a bit of low calorie milk.

While fasting I also noticed that my skin was in very good shape! But that was because of the fact that whilst fasting the body heals itself so it healed my skin! I've been having some minor skin problems since I was 14 and no face wash or cleansing product has ever helped - I've tried so many of them.... After I quit fasting my skin started to get spotty again and I was getting depressed. That's when I heard about zinc. I already take birthconrol pills for my skin and they did some good but not enough... SO I went to drug store and bought some zinc pills and after 2 weeks of daily use I noticed a BIG difference! I mean I would never had thought that the solution for my spots would be zinc, but it is. Yes I still do get some small spots now and then especially if I've been eating too much sugar, but when I get one I just take two pills instead of one for a couple of days and use tea tree oil from The Body Shop onto the spot and it's gone in a few days. These products that I'm using are very inexpensive.

This product is the zinc and it costs around 5/10 euros
these 130 pills. It also contains vitamin C and it's also good
for your immune system and for your hair and nails.

this little bottle costs about 9 euros and even though it's
quite small it lasts very long. This tea tree oil is diluted and
it has only 15% oil in it. You HAVE TO DILUTE the tea tree oil
otherwise it's too strong.

My friend's skin was too sensitive for the tea tree oil so if you know that you have a really sensitive skin, I would not recommend this product. I only use it on spots and on the most greasy areas of my face. But these two cheap products have saved my skin and I'm so much happier and easygoing now that my skin is in such a good shape after so many years of struggle. I only wash my face with LUMENE's make up cleansing product and I do it only in the evenings. At morning I wash my face with cold water.

I know I still have some work to do on my thighs and my butt, but at least my upper body is in my opinion in a good shape. I train my abs and thighs at home almost every day, but I don't stress about it. If I'm too tired to exercise I won't do it. I also walk my dog on a daily bases but I don't think that I work out that much - I'm kind of lazy person...... lol. Now I'll post some pictures from my looks and from Japan and then I'll take my leave!

with me and I used it at the end since it got a bit chilly...

We didn't try those boats. I've been to one in the real
Venice so been there done that.

It was my fifth time so I already have so many pictures of the city and all the pics of people are in my friend's phone and I never remember to ask her to give them to me. So I finally had the time to do a post about my looks and clothes. Some of these pictures are already kinda old (like few months old) especially the ones with the winter coats since it's already spring in Finland (oh yes, it did finally come!!) and in some of these I don't yet have my new tattoos so I think you're able to spot the not-so-fresh-photos.

on 29.4. I'm going to take a new addition to my left arm , which I have the tattoos on and it's going to be a full sleeve tattoo ever since, so the kinda crazy looking part-tattoo-part-skin thing which I'm having right now is going to be gone for good! And if you're wondering how expensive these tattoos are my answer will be: not that much for something you're going to have forever. Think about jeans that never wore off or a cake that lasts until you die... and you'll get my point of view!

So now to the pictures!

I love this fur coat on the upper picture! The downside is that it's not that warm, so it's definitely not a winter coat, but a spring/autumn jacket. I also love the top that I'm wearing, it's from Illustrated People. Ps. can you see some creepy stalker on the background? lol

I had a loose knitted sweater and a cross top underneath it. The top is from Saints and Mortals.

This was taken when it was really cold in Finland. I mean like -17 degrees Celsius. I had one of my favorite shirts on : a Star Wars the Empire Strikes Back T-Shirt. It's actually men's XL-size so it's almost like a skirt to me. and that big lump under my head is a BIGBIGBIG muffle tube scarf, which was necessary in those winter conditions.

And then I'd like to share with you some of the drawings I have made during the dark, long, cold, dark, depressing, cold, long and dark winter! I kinda found my inspiration again and I'm pretty happy about that too! It's been quite a while since I really did draw something.... And beforehand I'd like to announce that YES I AM A HOBBIT FAN! just deal with it. lolll.

Yessssss I love Thranduil. And I personally think that Lee Pace is absolutely freakishly sexypapa. So another YES I had to draw him.. But I did this for my friend. I promised that I would draw her a Thranduil after we went to see the Desolation of Smaug. So I had no other choice. And I think it turned out pretty good! The size is almost A4 and it took about one month to do it since I was also having other things to do incl. work, sleep, friends, etc. But this was fun to do nevertheless!

My camera is not so good so you cannot see all the little details in the hair and in the crown but this is the best I could do! Sorry.

these were also cards for my Granny and for my aunt. My granny loves flowers
so the Bush Roses were for her.

And yet again a picture for my aunt. this was done in last summer so it's
almost a year old. Apparently my aunt loves my paintings/drawings....?
and I love to paint white roses. figures ?

I would like to tell you about my aunt since I've been talking about her in this post. She's my mother's younger sister who moved to Greece in the early 90's. She fell in love with a man called Christo and they got married. After living in Greece they moved to Germany, Frankfurt in the late 90's. My aunt speaks fluently Finnish, English, Greek, German, French and also some Swedish - so she's quite skilled. In Frankfurt they got their first - and only - child. She was named after my grandmother with a Finnish name, Maija. After Maija was born they moved to a small town called Langenthal. They bought a huge house which was in a horrible condition and even though they were poor they manage to live somehow. My aunt is a ceramist so she brought the bread to the table. The husband, Christo, was no good. Only spending their already little income in some random megalomaniac stuff while gaining no money himself.

He was a horrible man. A true narcissist in the word's true meaning. Always putting my loving and caring and kind aunt down with horrible ways. He had said that if my aunt tries to leave him, he comes to Finland and kills her parents. And my aunt could not visit Finland because Christo did not want to leave and she could not leave Maija alone with Christo. So she was imprisoned in their huge never-to-complete house. She was truly unhappy and afraid of her husband. And we could do nothing. We visited her as often as we could and tried to help her with the house. My Grandfather is a skilled man in repairing and building so he help with fixing the house.

Two years ago Christo got a serious lung cancer. He had been smoking since a small kid so it was only a matter of time when he would get sick. The doctors gave him 3-5 years time to live and in 2 weeks he was dead. There was nothing the doctors could have done since the cancer was spread to other organs too. Even though Christo had been verbally, mentally and possibly physically abusing my aunt she was in a shock and she cried hysterically when my mother called her. It's been now two years since Christo died and the house is now fully renovated, my aunt has a better job and studying to become a kindergarten teacher and they visit Finland as often as they can and we also visit them in Germany. Maija has never cried in front of us about her father and she seems like a happy child. She's now 10 and doing all the things a child in that age should do.

I just wanted to share this with you, since I truly appreciate and respect my aunt, because she is so strong and wonderful person. We are extremely close and before she moved to Greece and when me and my brother were little she would always come to see us whenever she could and she loved us like her own children. And that's why when she asks me to do some paintings for her I cannot refuse.

Blog's New Look

Sooooo I was finally able to do SOME changes to the blog - it's my first day at home with nowhere to go and basically nothing to do, so this was the perfect moment to do some changes. I'm going to do some more after a while, but this is going to be the new look for a while. I want it to be simple and somehow easygoing with not much stuff going on.

I'd want to put some ''all seeing eye'' or some triangle -stuff somewhere, but I'm SO BAD at doing anything with computers that I think I'll have to settle down with this....

By the way, god damn it, it's so beautiful weather and I'm on a pretty happy mood so I think I'll go make a large cup of coffee and enjoy it with my little dog on my lap while watching some movie. (and after that I need to do the dishes and clean the toilets and pack my bag, and take the dog out and.....and...and.....)

I can say, that I think I have finally found my true style. I was searching it for a long time after I ditched the gyaru-o / visual kei look, but now I think I have finally found it, and I'm excited about it. ~~But I still can't toss away all my man-clothes~~. *sigh*

Reasons and excuses (plus T.T.D = tattoo, Tokyo, diet)

Hi! So I know it's been forever since I posted anything and my excuse is lack of interest. I've been meaning to change the appearance of this blog but I really suck at technical things, so I've been reluctant to do it and because of that I didn't even want to think about this blog..... And that is my second excuse!

Atm I'm at work so I can't post any pictures, but I'll do another post later on and post some outfit pictures. I took a pretty big tattoo on my left arm (pictures will come later..!) and on 29.4. it'll become a full left arm sleeve tattoo. I took two ladies on my lower arm designed by Alphonse (Alfons) Mucha. He's an artist born in the 1860 in Czech Republic and moved to French in 1887. He basically invented the art form nowadays known as the Art Nouveu. His works are very beautiful, feminine, delicate and distinctive. Most of his works are about women and flowers and they're very widely known even today. I think these two ladies are not the last Mucha tattoos I'm gonna take - I just love his art so much! Here's a picture of the ladies:

WE'RE GOING TO TOKYO AGAIN!!

We're in Tokyo from 13.5. till 29.5. This time it's going to be me and my three friends - and one of them is getting married on this summer so it's also kind of her bachelor-holiday.... or something. We're staying in Koenji's Neko Talo again, since it's the cheapest and that way we can all live in the same apartment - plus we love Koenji. It's so homey already. and most of our Japanese friends live there. I'm happy my tattoo is ready when we go there! Although Onsen is probably out of question after having a full sleeve tattoo... LOL. So no onsen for me - unless there is some yakuza onsen that allows the quest to have tattoos.......... ? hahah. oh dear.

But I'll make a more informative post about these subjects another time. Now it's time to do some actual work, so I'll wave my goodbyes and I hope to see you soon! Oh and btw if you have any questions about anything please feel free to ask! I might be a bit slow to answer, but I'll try my best! \o

PS. I've also started dieting and I can tell you that in 2 months I've lost 5cm around my butt and 2-3cm from everywhere else in my body for example my arms, thighs, stomach.... And this is the FIRST ever diet that's actually working on me. I know I'm not '''fat''' to begin with, but I (like many other women out there) would not mind having a bit more firm body. Plus I have noticed some other health benefits in this diet. BUT BUTBUT...... I'm not telling anything else right now! You'll just have to wait! hehe sorrysorry. BAI!

So as the headline says, I'm having A MAJOR SHOE DILEMMA!!!

I've been wanting to get new shoes like for ages, but I can be quite picky when it comes to shoes. I don't want them to be too masculine, but not too ladylike either. I don't want the heels to be too high, 'cos I'm afraid of braking my ankles. And I don't want real leather (because animal rights) and if the shoes are fake leather, I'm not ready to pay more than 40€. Unless they are absolutely fabulous and I want them really bad!

I've been admiring Jeffrey Campbell's Lita -shoes for ages, but first of all they put down my two major rules:

* Too expensive (I mean come on? They're really nice shoes, but 200€??? phew... )
* Too high
(* I don't know if they're real leather, but if they are, then 3 major rules...)

Especially these Spiked Litas are just........ drooooolllll~

It's almost a shame to admit, that I've been very busy the whole summer. My aunt came from Germany to Finland. Shen was here almost a month. And that whole time we were in our summer cottage. It was really fun, but at some point I realized that I wanted to come back to city and spend some time with my friends - rather than slacking off and doing nothing. But hey! I made progress in reading The Lord Of The Rings! It's now my third time - I think I'll never get bored to it! Such an awesome book. Really recommend it if you haven't read it yet. :)

Now I'm going to post some pictures that I took from London, as promised! I don't photoshop or modify my pictures (because i think it's lying - in some way. Not like if you put some more contrast or light in it, but if you remove or change anything in the actual picture, that is lying. Don't get me wrong here... please? ) But as I was saying the pics might not be superb quality or extremely accurate, but forgive me.

I bought that gray top from TOPSHOP, it was on sale ~20£, and also I bought the cutest My Little Pony underpants from TopShop. I also spent a lot of money in Forever21, bying one maxidress (gray with unsymmetrical hem and stud cross), one short dress with denim bustier and rose patterned, unsymmetrical hem. And one sale top from NEWLOOK and some DVDs including Star Wars 4-6 BOX. AWESOME!

And we didn't get to eat fish and chips. We were supposed to, but at the time it was possible we did not feel like eating something fatty. The weather was fairly good during the whole trip. And sometimes it was even hot! Overall I liked Britain and London very much - especially the people. They were truly kind and warm. So thank you Britain! I rest my case.

And there is one favor I'd like to ask: Could you PLEASE tell me what would you like me to write about? I haven't been active with this blog, since I don't know what to write about. So please help me out here.

★ It's London Calling! ★

I'm a bit ashamed to admit, that I've never been to Britain or London before... It's not that it's too far away (straight flight from Finland takes about 3 hours) or that I wasn't interested in UK, but more like I've never had the time to go there. I've been so busy going to Tokyo and other trips... But now finally me and my dear friend Riina are going to London to stay with our friend Anna, who is studying in London's University.

It's not going to be a long trip, only 4 nights - which me and Riina are going to spend sleeping on their sofas in their living room. Yes, THEIR. Anna lives with 4 or 5 (I never remember) other people: some other Finnish girls and one British boy. It's gonna be interesting... I'm kinda nervous about sleeping in a ''public'' living room, 'cos I'm not sure about in which positions I sleep, and it would be embarrassing if the British boy came to the living room while us sleeping and he saw my butt hanging loose or something.... LOL. and ps. no i don't sleep naked...

But anyways it's still nice to stay at Anna's place, 'cos we don't have to pay anything for the nights.

We had some serious troubles with booking the flight. I mean I've booked many many flights and I'm not a novice at the matter, but still..... How hard it can be to get a flight from Finland to London - one of the biggest capitals in Europe? well, apparently it's very fucking difficult! first of all a straight flight from Finland would've been much too expensive (500-600€ - notice that the last year's flight to Tokyo was less than 600€), so we had to take a flight with a stop at Copenhagen. I've been to Copenhagen's airport and I liked it - it was compact, fairly small which i like, and the people were kind.

BUT the first flight we booked was already pretty expensive - the prices went up and down like crazy (about 390€) and after we had booked it the price went up again! We hadn't gotten the reservation number or confirmation yet, and on the next day they raised the price of our flight with more than 150€!!! I mean what the...?? I got so pissed off. I said that I will definitely not pay that much money for a flight to Europe with one stop included. So we cancelled the flight - thank god it was free to cancel it..

On the same day (Friday) I decided to book the flight by myself and I finally found one pretty good :

Leaving on 24.6. 17:30 from Helsinki Airport
Landing on Copenhagen at 18:10 (local time)

Departure at 20:05 from Copenhagen
Landing on London at 21:05 (local time)

Return Flight:

Leaving on 28.6. 10:20 from London Heathrow
Landing on Helsinki at 15:15 (local time, straight flight, flight time 2h 55min)

and with price: 316.90€ / person.

I'm happy with this flight. Even though it's still kinda expensive, but at least we're saving by living at Anna's place.

I've been to many countries: Sweden, Hungary, Germany, Italy, France, Spain, Turkey, Japan, Thailand....... and the list goes on. But nevertheless I'm always excited about traveling! I more likely use my money on traveling than fancy clothes, phones, electronics, etc.

And the more people you can travel with and meet while traveling, the more merrier!

So, what are your summer plans? Going to foreign countries? or just enjoying the holiday with friends and family? I'm gonna do both... We have a midsummer festive in Finland this week and I'm gonna spend it with my Sister and her boyfriend - whom are both very dear to me. It's gonna be fun! Maybe we're gonna go to some road trip with a car?

But we'll see next time after my London journey. :) I'M GONNA TRY TO TAKE AS MUCH PHOTOS AS I CAN!!!! this time....... lol. (word: journey always reminds me of Lord of the Rings or Hobbit... So I'm gonna go bare foot like a good hobbit, and defeat the evil! )

Make Up Store : A Big Disappointment

Hey everyone! I'm truly glad to say that the summer is finally here! I'm sitting in front of a fan and enjoying the warmth and sun. I watched the news and they said that the rest of the Europe is battling against floods and cold weather. So I think we Finns should be pretty happy about this weather we have atm. I don't recall any other summer that has had this many extremely warm and sunny days in a row... But I'm not complaining! Even though our dog is having a bit rough time - but cold showers and a fan blowing all the time i think he'll survive! :)

But now back to the topic! So I went to the Make Up Store in Helsinki this one day ( I had a 50€ gift card so I decided to use it and actually buy some expensive make ups, what I usually rarely do!) I Had already checked out from the internet some products that i wanted to buy and i had BIG hopes for them, 'cos I've heard that Make Up Store's products have very good quality!

So This is what I was GOING to buy:

So all these would have costed 48€ and I was pretty excited about these products! But when I got there (on Thursday morning) all of these products were sold out! Every last one of them. I am obviously too mainstream... But the story doesn't end there, no. Almost all the shelves were half empty (or half full, depending on how optimistic you are). I was truly, truly disappointed! The lady on the counter didn't offer to help me she just sulked there doing something on the computer - probably she was on facebook. DAMN FACEBOOK! Gladly I had my friend with me so I was able to go through the products with her.

I had decided to use the gift card that day, since it was soon to be expired...
So this is what i bought in the end:

Make Up Store: Tanja (shimmer), 14€

Make Up Store: Vanilla, 18€
(yes i know the internet site says 16€, but in the shop it was 18€...)

and some mascaras - not obviously from Make Up Store. They were
RIMMEL's.

....and after purchasing an expensive (in my opinion) nail polish
THIS is what i got!! First of all it wasn't the one I wanted in the
first place - it's a slightly darker color, and now this!

And the worst thing was that I threw away the pig paper bag that i got from the shop because i had a grocery store bag and purse, so it was only making my life more difficult and the ticket went in to the garbage bin with the bag, so i couldn't even return or change this damaged one. Honestly! I've never been this unhappy with any store never before! And this is supposed to be high-quality? yeah, right. Never buying anything from Make Up Store again.

one layer of nail polish. I didn't want it to be so glimmering...

And I was also disappointed in the MicroShadow. The color is not appealing on my face and the pigment is not the best what I've seen. I've tried to put some water in it - didn't work out. I mean yes, someone might still like these products and i can't blame her. The brand has a high-value mark on it, and i have heard some good things about it, but I was just so disappointed that I lost my faith in the brand.

I've bought some very low-cost make ups and they've been many times more better than these ones. I think they're not worth the money! It's not always like '' the most expensive ones are the best ''. I have learnt that now... the lipgloss is not bad. It smells and tastes sweet (yes it's important, because i wouldn't want to put something smelly and bad tasting on my lips...... lol) and it said to give you irresistible lips - and i can grant that: my dog cannot resist my lips after putting on the lipgloss... you decide if that is a good or a bad thing.

but still even though the lipgloss is pretty nice, it is not worth the 16€. I mean you can get as good products with half the price from some basic stores.

I don't want you to get upset about this post. If you like Make Up Store then you should like it even after me mocking it. This is not universal opinion - just mine. I just want to know have you had any experience like this? Or do you have absolutely the opposite opinion about this store? Please comment and let me know - I'm interested in all the stories!

* Teeth Whitening *

So i just wanted to share my experience with these teeth whitening products!

First of all I drink coffee and tea - a lot of tea, i'm like a sponge! I don't drink fizzy drinks like cola or sprite, but i do drink juices. and i smoke occasionally.... so all these harm my teeth and discolor them. I became very self-conscious about the color of my teeth. and it did affect my self-esteem.

So last summer i tried this Pepsodent White Now -paste for four weeks (we were in Japan and I bought this paste for the journey and i threw it away when we left Japan).

it promises immediately whiter teeth but for my experience it did nothing. Maybe the change was to subtle that I didn't notice it. But it was a total waste of money. And yes I used it at least twice a day.

So i started to look for other options. I really thought about going to the dentist to get them whitened, but... jeez it's __really expensive! about 400-500 euros! this one La Chica does it for 140e-350e. the cheapest one is a basic whitening and there are other options and prices depending on how white you want you teeth.

So i think for my budget it is too expensive!

So finally my friend in Japan told me that she had used this Crest 3D White Strips and that they really worked! The only problem was that you cannot buy these from Finland's drug stores. God bless we have eBay!! (i'n not even religious.)

So i went to search these from eBay and they had many options - some expensive and some inexpensive. I did some comparing and i found the best price! They were bout 11e/9 pouches. (Link to the site)
I just noticed that they do not ship to Finland anymore...? What is going on? I just bought these strips from this seller and i was going to buy more later on... OK.

I sent the seller a message considering this matter. That's weird really.

well anyways! I used these strips one in every morning and they did work! My teeth are not yellow anymore! They're not super-extremely white, but I wouldn't even want that - i wished for naturally white teeth. I was quite happy with the result. The package contained 9 pouches which includes 2 strips - one upper and one lower strip.

So how you use them?

* first of all, don't brush your teeth right before the strips! It might irritate your gums more. My gums are pretty healthy atm so it did not hurt for me, except the first morning when i brushed my teeth just before applying these.

* make sure you get the strip in every corner so it affects your whole teeth.

* Dry your teeth before applying! With paper or breathing through your mouth for a moment. The strip stays on and affects better that way!

* After taking them off you have a nasty gel on your teeth and i just flushed my mouth with cold water to get rid of it.

At first you won't be seeing much change. For me it took about 4 days before I noticed any difference, but keep using them nevertheless! I don't have any BEFORE/AFTER -pictures, but I'll link some other pics:

I was very skeptic about this product at first, but now I'm a believer. It says that the effect will last about 12 months. And I recommend you to use at least 9 pouches (7 if your teeth are not that yellow) - more if you want even whiter teeth. but use them daily unless you feel too much irritation on your gum. Then just take the strips away. Too strong pain is not normal and you should stop if it occurs.

For those who don't want to put plastic in mouth i recommend other ways. I have heard about mixing a little bit of water and baking soda together, making it into a paste and rubbing it to your teeth with toothbrush. This should be done 2-3 times in a week. it starts to affect after 2 weeks - so it's not as fast as this is, but it's natural, cheap and pretty safe. I'm going to try it soon and I'll come here and tell you if anything has changed or if it works! I'll be your guinea pig!

I haven't yet got the shorts or the jeans, because our post office is stupid and they had gotten the order number wrong and when i went to get the package (of the jeans ) they couldn't find it even though i had got the announcement that the package is there to be fetched. [ Mentally busy days ]

I know I've been a bad girl, since the last post was made months ago... and I know that some readers have left due to that. So I must apologize!! i'm sincerely sorry, but I've been very busy lately. Not maybe physically, but mentally. My mind has been all over the place and very occupied so I haven't had time to think about my blog. I'm sorry!

I just applied to Helsinki's university. and guess what? if i get in, I'm going to study of becoming an elementary school teacher. It's not my dream job, but since i haven't studied since high school i thought it's already time to move on with my life and do something. I have a job so i've been working and collecting money, but it still feels like i'm just hanging loose. So i've been very stressed up lately.... I cannot consider myself truly happy or satisfied with my life, so that's why i want to do something about it. Even though it kinda freaks me out a bit... wish i could just be a child again! no worries at all and just playing around. lol.

but now to some bit happier news! I'm going to Amsterdam with my mom! it's been her dream since ages and now she can finally fulfill it. We're going to be there from 13.4. to 16.4. and then travel by train to Germany, Frankfurt to see my aunt & cousin.

Amsterdam in Netherlands. So beautiful.....!

i know there is the 'red lantern' part of the town, which i really wanna visit!

I've started watching Game of Thrones with my friend. and first i was kinda confused about the amount of names and characters and i needed my friend to explain who was who, but now after watching the first season (and bits of the second) i'm more or less aware of the characters names. it's hard though. I have such a bad name memory. haha. And i love Sean Bean! or Mr. Bean as i call him. And also her daughter, Arya, is just so good character. She reminds me a bit of Pikku Myy or Lilla Myy from the Moomin's.

And dear god i hate Joffrey!!!!!!!! He just... dkjlfhdkjfhkjdfh. makes me so mad. I thought the governor in the Walking Dead was too much of smug to handle, but no he's nothing compared to Joffrey. But I can say that he's a well made character and the actor is also very good, 'cos he really annoys me!

[Volume to your hair - with minimal effort]

Okay, so this post is about getting your hair airy and fluffy - with minimal effort of course!
The result depends on the quality of your hair: is your hair naturally curly or extremely hard to curl even with irons and stuff. I know my hair is naturally quite curly and you can test it by making a small braid and keeping it ~20mins and if your hair is already curled after opening the braid then you have a easily curving hair. it's sometimes a pain in the ass, 'cos a little humid outside can ruin a straight hair in 5 minutes. mine is like that...

but okay so what you need to do this is:

- a good comb. or a brush or what ever you prefer.

- some pretty strong and lifting styling mousse

- okay this is additional, but i try to keep my hair also in a good shape so some moisture spray if you want to follow my exact foot steps.

- salt water spray. for example the L'ORÉAL Paris' Matt and Messy, shine free salt water spray. It actually works and it makes the hair less silky and a bit sticky.

- some strong hairspray.

- and something to tie your hair up on a bun.

ALRIGHT! so these are the products I'm using:

First of all you need to do this in the evening!!

*But after showering and drying your hair naturally so long that it's not dripping water anymore, put a fair amount of Styling Mousse on your palm. gradually apply it all over your hair, especially in the root. IF you have less-curly hair apply it all over. even to the tips.

*Then apply the Moisture Spray all over your hair but especially in the tips now. That Shwarzkopf''s Moisture Kick spray that i use also helps with electrical and dry hair. it doesn't say so in the bottle but usually the electrical effect is due to air and hair dryness. and in Finland in winter time the air is extremely dry... and also blow drying makes your hair a bit electrically charged.

*Now blow dry your hair with your head upside down.

* After this spray the Salt Spray all over your hair. It makes it a bit sticky and less silky so it's easier to handle.

*Now you need to backcomb your hair all over. It's easier after using the salt spray. TIPS! start from the bottom and work your way up. Spray Hairspray to the root and then backcomb it up. it doesn't have to look nice at this point. this is just preparations. After backcombing your hair all over apply hairspray again.

* After this put your hair on a bun on the top of your head and go to sleep. the bigger the bun the bigger waves you'll get. If you make the bun while your hair is still wet it'll be more curly. I can't quite do this 'cos it's almost too curly for my hair. Here's a picture of my morning face and hair with a messy bun:

It doesn't look appealing... nor sexy. but it works. okay so here's the AFTER shot:

Note: all i did was open the bun and let my hair fall down. you can spray hairspray again and backcomb it a bit to make sure it lasts. but this is my hair in the mornings when i don't have time to use hair straightener.

And now some bit more representative pictures. I bought some new clothes from NastyGal.com. A black see-trough blouse with studded crosses on chest, one spiky necklace and one ripped, cream colored sweater. I had to declare it and it costed 20 euros.... but the clothes were totally worth it!

[ Traveling and wondering ]

Nyt on jo varmasti korkea aika tehdä tämän vuoden viimeinen blogipäivitys, kerta vuotta on jäljellä enää n. 2 viikkoa. Oon onnekseni saanut jo kaikki lahjat ostettua ja jopa paketoitua, mikä helpottaa huomattavasti Jouluun laskeutumisen. Ensi vuodesta tulee todella jännä ja jopa pelottava, enkä ihan oikeasti odota sitä hirveän innolla, mutta ajalla on tapana mennä vain eteenpäin ja niin kai on sitten minunkin.

Oltiin äidin kanssa tosiaan Budapestissa ja tossa 24.-27.11. ja vaikka Budan puoli olikin toisinaan hyvin ränsistynyt ja Neuvostoliiton aiempi valta työnsi pitkää nenäänsä monista rakosista, oli Pest kuitenkin erittäin kaunis! Säät ei ihan suosinut meitä paitsi lähtöpäivänä, joka osoittautui ainoaksi lämpimäksi ja aurinkoiseksi päiväksi. Sillon asteita taisi olla jopa +15. Suomeen laskeuduttua tajuttiin, että talvi oli hiljaa hiipinyt tänne pohjolaan ja ero +15 asteen ja -3 asteen välillä tuntui sillon kalmaakin kylmemmältä. Ja hei! Sain pidettyä itseni ostamasta yhtään vaatteita! Ostin vain siskolleni joululahjan ja itselleni uuden laukun, jonka tarina onkin hieman monimutkaisempi: Oltiin ensin lähtöpäivänä (kone lähti vasta 19.30) käyty vaikka missä kaupoissa ja viimein mentiin Vörösmarty teren Bershkaan, josta löysin mustan nahkajäljitteisen, niiteillä koristellun laukun. Se maksoi 9995 Unkarin forinttia, mikä euroiksi muunnettuna on noin 35e. Ostin kyseisen laukun, jonka jälkeen mentiin Pull&Beariin. Tunsin jo kauppaan sisälle mentäessä, että nyt jotain tulee sattumaan ja kappas, kaupassa olikin _paljon hienompi ja täsmälleen saman hintainen laukku kuin minkä juuri ostin. En halunnut käyttää 70 euroa kahteen laukkuun, koska olen säästölinjalla, joten juoksin takaisin Bershkaan ostamani laukun ja sen kuitin kanssa ja selitin kassalla, että olin ostamassa laukkua ystävälleni, mutta kyseessä onkin väärä laukku, joten voinko palauttaa sen ja saada rahat takaisin. En tiedä johtuiko se suuresta epätoivostani vai loistavasta näyttelemisestä, joka ansaitsisi Oscarin vai myyjätyttösen hyvästä sydämestä, kun hän suostui antamaan rahani takaisin. olin aivan varma, että en olisi niin onnekas... Juoksin siis takaisin Pull&Beariin ja ostin tämän toisen laukun, jonka voin nyt näyttää huonossa kuvassa:

Surukseni ilmoitan, että mulla ei ole oikeastaan yhtään valokuvaa Budapestista! Meillä oli videokamera mukana ja se sisältää lähinnä vaan videoita sieltä tai todella huonolaatuisia kuvia. Ehkä jossain vaiheessa lisään ne huonolaatuiset sitten tänne.... Lähinnä kuvia mun äidistä, joka on peloissaan kirkon katolla ja musta, kun juon tai syön jotain. lol.

Se täytyy kuitenkin vielä sanoa, että vaikkakin meidän hotellin sijainti oli loistava (ostoskävelykadun varrella) niin ainakin meidän huoneen sänky oli NIIIIIN kova, että tuntu melkein kuin olisi nukkunut lattialla. Muuten hotellihuone oli siisti, vaikkakin ikkunaa ulos siinä ei ollut - ainoastaan ikkuna hotellin sisälle. Ja aamupalatarjoilun kahvi oli erittäin kahvitonta. maistui lähinnä pahalta kaakaolta. se tulikin semmosesta koneesta, josta piti saada kaikenlaisia erikoiskahveja, mutta kaikki oli pahoja ja niissä oli vaahtoa enemmän kuin kahvia. Ainiin ja hotellin nimi oli: Promenade city hotel. Toki se oli halpa ja tähtiä oli 3, eli ei ihan samaa tasoa kuin jotkut thaimaan tai japanin hotellit, joissa ollaan oltu, mutta muuten oikein mukava pikkuinen hotelli.

I used this Men's palty gray hair color, which i bought from Japan. This is the package and how it turned out:

contains: two bottles of bleach and color, rubber gloves and
instructions.

you add these two into the jar behind and shake at least 30 seconds.
I used only 1/3 at a time so i tried to put even amount both.

after shaking it had turned into this jelly. it didn't turn gray,
but after applying it to your hair it started to transform a bit grayish.

I used it only on the tips of my hair. And they actually turned g(r)ay.
But the stupid part of it was that it didn't last long. only like 1 or 2 washes.
so boohooo. i need to come up with some other solutions, if i still
want to have gray tips....

Ps. toi harmaa paita on H&M:n miesten puolelta. maksoi vain jotain 15 euroa ja se on ihana! tosin revin kyllä ton kaula-aukon ihan ite noin isoksi ja muutenkin vähän venyttelin sitä. se on kokoa XL. koska isot paidat = love.

vielä mainittakoon matkasta Rovaniemelle, että käytiin tietty suurimmat nähtävyydet läpi, kuten Lordin aukio ja niiden kädenjäljet:

oon pitkän aikaa seuraillut Gyaru Secretsei, vaikken mikään gyaru tai edes gyaru-o olekaan. Lähinnä töissä, kun pidän pientä paussia niin meen selailee ja naureskelee vähäsen, mutta se täytyy sanoa, että kyllä tytöt osaa olla niin ilkeitä toisilleen. Toisinaan ne jotkut kommentit on toki ihan suht aiheellisia, mutta jotkut jutut on kyllä niin naurettavia, että ihan mietin, kuinka kukaan haluaa olla tommosessa kommuunissa mukana? Etenkin hämmästelen niitä kommentteja, missä täysin normaalipainoista nättiä tyttöä haukutaan läskiksi ja rumaksi? mihin tämä maailma on menossa? Sitten, kun joku on oikeasti todella laiha niin se onkin jo sitten sysirumaa ja kuvottavaa. Mikään ei ikinä riitä! joskus meikkiä liikaa ja joskus liian vähän, joskus on liikaa laitettu tukka ja joskus taas aivan liian vähän. ja kenellä on oikeasti valtaa sanoa, mikä on oikein ja mikä ei? joidenkin mielestä koko gaijin gyaru -juttu on väärin ja ainoastaan vain japanilaiset saisivat edustaa kyseistä tyyliä. Jos nyt oikein mietitään, niin gyaruhan tarkoittaa Galia eli TYTTÖÄ. Ja koko tämä asia on saanut alkunsa länsimaalaisten tyttöjen ihailusta, joten minkä takia länsimaalainen tyttö ei sillon saisi olla gyaru? Japanissa lähes kaikissa mainoksissa palloilee länsimaalainen tyttö ja kaikki ihme hiusten vaalennukset, silmäluomien teippaukset ja sinisten linssien käyttö on juuri länsimaalaisen lookin tavoittelua. Ainakin näin olen asian ymmärtänyt. voin toki olla niin täysin väärässä, että Jeesuskin nauraa, mutta on tässä nyt lähes 4 kuukautta tullut vietettyä Japanissa ja se on aika hyvä pohja joillekin tiedoille.

Kuitenkin suurin kysymys kuuluu, että miksi kauniiden tyttöjen täytyy hakea hyväksyntää omalle ulkonäölle liittymällä tällaiseen yhteisöön? toki on eri asia, jos haluaa sen tunteen, että kuuluu johonkin ryhmään, mutta en edelleen käsitä, miten joidenkin elämäntehtävä tuntuu olevan toisten alistaminen ja hakkuminen. Tuleeko siitä itselleen parempi olo? ehkä sitten niin... Mutta sen sanon, että jotkut gyarut itse pilaavat tyylinsä maineen. ei toki saa yleistää, että kaikki gyarut on inhottavia, sillä tunnen muutaman oikein mukavan je herttaisen yksilön.

Mulla muutenkin tekee pahaa, kun jotkut normaalipainoiset tytöt, joilla on upea kroppa lähtee hakemaan thinspiraatiota tämmöisistä kuvista:

noissa laihoissa, muodottomissa vartaloissa ei ole mitään kaunista tai luonnollista. Ne näyttää epäterveiltä ja luonnottomilta. Oon nähnyt Japanissa ollessani monia aivan liian laihoja tyttöjä, joiden jalat on pelkät nahalliset tikut ja käsivarret napsahtaisi poikki kilon painosta. En näe laihduttamisessa tai kiinteytymisessä mitään pahaa niin kauan, kun se on vielä terveellistä. Japanilaisista naisista yli 80 prosentilla on jonkinasteinen syömishäiriö ja yli puolet japanilaisista naisista on anorektisen laihoja. Suomessa noin 1-5 prosentilla väestöstä arvioidaan olevan anoreksia ja sen kuolleisuus on noin 10%, mikä on yksi suurin kuolleisuusprosentti mielenterveyshäiriöiden keskuudessa. Se myös johtaa hiusten ohenemiseen tai lähtöön, hampaiden huonokuntoisuuteen, yleiseen karvankasvuun kaikkialla kehossa, ihon kuivumiseen, vitamiinitasojen tippumiseen, osteoporoosiin ja lihasten surkastumiseen. Ja yleisesti siihen, että on aina kylmä ja heikko olo. Haluaisin vaan sanoa kaikille, jotka tavoittelee tommosta ylhäällä kuvassa olevaa kehoa, että pliis älkää! Totuus on, että meitä on jokaiseen lähtöön ja aina välttämättä laiha ei tarkoita terve.

Tässä vielä hyvä kuva aiheeseen liittyen. Ja se vielä täytyy sanoa, että lähes jokainen nainen näkee itsensä isompana kuin oikeasti on. Ja vaikka olisi kuinka laiha niin silti melkein aina löytyy vielä jotain omassa kehossa, mihin ei ole tyytyväinen. Kohtuus kaikessa ja kultainen keskitie! itse aloitin kuukausi sitten kävelemään koiran kanssa kunnollisia lenkkejä joka päivä ja samalla teen vatsalihaksia ja punnerruksia. On ollut hienoa huomata, että kyllä ne lihakset siellä on ja kehittyy. Samalla pienensin hieman annoskokoa ja lopetin lähes kokonaan tupakanpolton ja alkoholinjuonnin (tosin alkoholia juon muutenkin todella vähän nykyään...). Jo parissa viikossa paino putosi parilla kilolla ja vatsa on kaventunut ja kiinteytynyt ja oon siihen tosi tyytyväinen. Toki syön vielä makeita juttuja ja herkuttelen sillon tällön, koska olen kuitenkin vielä ihminen ja lettu tai kakkupala sillon tällön ei tuhoa universumia! :)

Nyt kuitenkin kaikille HYVÄÄ JOULUA JA ONNELLISTA UUTTA VUOTTA!!! nähdään sitten ensi vuonna! :) Muistakaa nauttia Joulusta! Mä ainakin aion. Mikä onkaan sen ihanampaa kuin nukkua pitkään, syödä hyvää ruokaa ja olla perheen kanssa? Samalla vähän askarrellen ja touhuillen. ah!

Change in my life

Kuten ehkä huomasitte, niin päivitin ja muutin blogin ulkoasua ja nimeä aika dramaattisesti ja syynä tähän muutokseen on se, että en enää vedä ns. visual kei / gyaru-o -tyyliä, joten on hyvä aloittaa puhtaalta pohjalta uusia kujeita. En oo enää pitkään aikaan laittanut spittareita jalkaan ja kirmaillut vapaana orina miehuuden niityillä ja mun on itsekin nyt jo aika tunnustaa itelleni, että se tyyli on nyt poistunut keskuudestamme. Kaipaan sitä kyllä.... en oo voinut heittää mitään vanhoja äijävaatteita pois ja en tuu varmaan pitkään aikaan heittämäänkään. niihin on kulunut nimittäin rahan lisäksi myös aikaa niitä tuunaillessa ja modifioidessa. ehkä sitten joskus!

Tällä hetkellä en osaa määrittää omaa tyyliäni, mutta toisaalta minkä takia pitäisi lokeroida ittensä johonkin tiettyyn boxiin? Olin jo pitkään miettinyt, että tän blogin ulkomuotoa pitää muuttaa ja koska ajattelin, että se on niin vaivalloista, niin en saanut sitä aikaiseksi ja sen takia en ole edes päivittänyt, koska olin laiska. yksinkertaisesti!

nyt tällä kertaa en vielä kirjoita mitään kovin tähdellistä, mutta mielessä killuu silti muutama ajatus, että mistä aion seuraavaksi kirjoittaa. Sen vaan sanon, että oon menossa Budapestiin marraskuussa. Siellä on ns. joulumarkkinat tai joulutori ja kun viime vuonna käytiin Wienissä, niin nyt oli aika siirtyä uusille vesille ja kääntää nokka kohti tuntemattomia maita. En ole vielä kertaakaan käynyt Unkarissa ja odotan sitä innolla. Budapest on kuulemma todella kaunis kaupunki.

[ When the sun still shines ]

Wooo I'm back to Finland. Sadly. And I have enormous troubles with transferring the japan photos from by phone to the computer. the system is so stupid and annoying and i've been trying to do this now like 45 mins and still doing it! ARRGGHH! I'm getting very anxious because of this stupid son of a mother! it doesn't want to move all the pictures, 'cos there is some error and oahfijdahf. okay, cooling myself down.....

IF i manage to get the photos to the computer i'll put some pics here - otherwise this post will be pretty pictureless ( i just came up whit that word, cool right?). alright i was able to get some pics from the phone. not all of them but i'm so pissed off right now, that this will do it for now...

oh dear! time flies so fast - it feels like it's been forever since we left from Tokyo. btw i had one little accident in Japan.... I've wanted gray hair since last year's summer, and this time in Tokyo i thought that i'll finally fulfill my dream and i bought two gray hair colors: one Gatsby and one men's Palty. and one evening at 10 o'clock i started to dye my hair with the gatsby's color. I've bleached my hair but it's still very thick and i didn't allow the color to effect more than 10 mins and when i went to wash it off my hair was gray-purple. mostly dark purple. i had such a breakdown. i started crying and cursing and Rina got all scared, 'cos i was so hysteric. but thanks to Rina, the most kindest person in the universe, she went immediately to get some bleach. after half an hour my hair was back to blond. Not white - as it was BEFORE i put the horrific gray color, but blond. and after using some silver shampoo it's now again back to white. BUT i shall warn you about japanese colors - DON'T TRY THEM __IF YOU HAVE BLEACHED HAIR! honestly.

I still have the men's palty -color, but i haven't even opened it yet. especially when the package says: men's palty - waterwax hair color. sounds suspicious. i still want the gray hair but next time i'll go to do it with professional's help - and by this i mean hair salon. i don't want anyone to repeat my mistakes so that's why i truly recommend you not to try the same thing that i did. it sucked ass big time!

I also had one accident in our summer cottage. On Friday i suddenly noticed that my lip piercing's tip ( the little ball that keeps it on place) had fallen off. I tried to find it but it was mission impossible. So on Saturday we went to some jewelry shop and i bought a new piercing and after 15mins i discovered that the ball had fallen off AGAIN. I've had this piercing for about 1½ years and the ball has NEVER fallen before. and on one weekend it happened twice. i was so pissed off that my grandmother gave me money to buy a new one - again. So i bought two new ones from korumaailma.fi which is an online shop that has pretty cheap jewelries. today i got those new ones.... but what a waste of money!

And by the way i got a tattoo!! yay. i wanted to have it before the japan trip but it was impossible. but now it's already completely healed and i absolutely love it! and here is a CRAPPY photo of it. please accept my apology - i was too lazy to put any make up or anything and i was just going to shower so.............. sorrysorrysorry.

But now i'll go to watch the London Olympics. Is anyone else interested in sports? oh i love the Olympics. Even thought Finnish athletes are pretty crappy..... Always high hopes but never even competing in the Finals. But that's why i can share my love and cheer up for example Japan or UK. :D

Hello! it's been a while - again. But i really didn't have anything to write about... Now nevertheless i have some big announcements to make! First of all, we are going to Tokyo with my good friend Rina, on 30.5. and we'll come back to Finland on 2nd of July. So it will be another one month trip! This time it's just me and Rina, and our friend Sari, who lives in Tokyo. Oh and ofc Myrre is there with her boyfriend a couple of days after our arrival. We got an apartment from Shinjuku - which is kinda exciting, but at the same time a little scary, because the neighborhood is unfamiliar to the both of us, when Koenji feels homey and safe.

We got our apartment from Sakura House which is a company, that rents apartments for long and short stays and also a dormitory and share house stays. Our apartment is not big - to be exact, it's only 19m^2 SMALL but it's location is very good, and it looked kinda cozy. and to be honest, do we really need an enormous flat, just to sleep in? don't think so. OK the one month rent is a little bigger that i wished for ( 105 000 yens = 1044€ ) and we had to pay an extra 30 000 yens for the reservation, but we'll get 15 000 yens back after we move out. and then there'll be an extra 20 000 yens fee for every additional person staying in the apartment. Which means me in this case. so yes, it's a bit expensive but i wanted to have our own apartment and the location was also important to us.... But our flights were quite cheap so this compensates it.

And one minus is that our flight departures at 9.45 AM on 2.7. so we have to leave our apartment already on 1.7. So we decided to get a hotel room for that night. I reserved a room from a hotel near to Narita's airport. it was only 60€ for two persons room- so it was very cheap! and the best part is, that the hotel has a free bus transportation to the airport and it takes only 12-15mins, so we don't have to drag our big and heavy bags in the local trains in the morning AND we get to sleep a bit longer! ofc it is again an extra cost to the trip, but besides that, i think it's very convenient. and the hotel looked AWESOME! lol.

I booked our hotel VERY EASILY from Hotels.com. I just searched hotels from Narita (close to Narita's airport) and rooms for two people (one night stay) and it gave me the alternative room options from the cheapest to the most expensive ones. and the booking was so easy! you can pay the room from that instant without any difficulties. My only little problem was that at first it did't recognize my Visa Electron as Visa ELECTRON and it complained that my credit card number was wrong, but Visa Electron is NOT a credit card so we did have a bit of a fight with the booking system, but then i gave up and put the card as a Visa and i got the room booked. other than that, it was very easy, and i now have a booking number for the room and it's already paid from my account so everything is ready! to other topics, i have truly fell in love with over sized shirts. i have now started to get some cool summer clothes for Tokyo and i'm pretty happy for all the matter that i have already purchased. here are some pics - but some of them are pretty old so...... heh.

Oh yeah, i forgot to tell one thing! I am now officially going to take my first tattoo. I wanted to have it before our Japan trip, but it was impossible, so it's going to be on 5.7. 11.00 AM. to be honest, i'm pretty nervous, not because it might hurt, but because i don't want the situation to be awkward and uncomfortable with the tattooist. he's a very big and scary looking bald man, but pretty funny and kind. still...... i usually don't like random people to touch me. that's one reason why i have gone to the same hairdresser every time for the last 5 years (and partly 'cos she is nice and skillful). and if anyone is interested, the tattoo will be on my left arm/shoulder and it's going to have some hummingbirds and lilies in it. i drew the picture myself, but the tattooist is allowed to do some changes - if he needs to. I need to go to the tattoo shop also on 22.5. 'cos he wants to discuss a bit more about the tattoo and he wants to see some pictures that i like and don't... or something.

But i think that's mostly about it! now i'm gonna make some tea and watch the telly! or a movie with Paul Bettany in it! I love him.... :)
