Welcome back to dance!!

All classes resume tomorrow, Monday February 4th. Boys hip hop resumes March 4th.

The third tuition payment is also due this week. $90.00 for each class per week. This will cover tuition through the end of March.

Some important dates to get on your calendars:

CGDA closed for spring break March 25th-29th

Spring recitals dates have not been confirmed by the school district but we are planning for:

Junior Performance (dancers ages 3-7) June 1st at 2pm

Intermediate Performance (dancers ages 8-13) June 1st at 7pm

Senior Performance (dancers ages 14-adult) June 13th, 14th, 15th at 7pm and also June 15th at 2pm

We are looking forward to a wonderful year, exciting recital preparations and can not wait to see all your dancing faces return to CGDA!

We have decided to close the studio this evening. All classes are cancelled due to road conditions. We apologize for any inconvenience this causes you.

Enhance your child’s ability to learn

Enroll your child in Nurturing Pathways®, a movement and music class for babies. Enhance brain pathways at a time when development is at its prime. Each class focuses on movement (a child’s first language) enriching everything from motor coordination to music, language and social skills. Each class involves dance explorations, musical instruments, rhyming exercises and sensory-rich props. You will learn how to enhance your child’s development while you dance and enjoy the company of other parents.

Wobbler classes (walking to 2 years) will begin winter quarter!

Class description

Nurturing Pathways Babies (3 months- Pre-walking)

45 minute class, once a week for 10 weeks

Attire: Babies in onesie. Parents in bare feet and comfortable clothes to move in.

Join other parents and experience the satisfaction of stimulating your baby's first year with movement. This fun and creative class will enrich your baby's motor, music and language skills using baby exercises, musical instruments and sensory rich Creative Play Products. The program requires a one-time Parent pack fee of $35, payable to the instructor at the first class. The parent Pack includes 2 music CD's, 3 instructional booklets and a music shaker. The Parent Pack and Creative Play Product will bring the class home with fun tools; explaining and extending the developmental benefits for your baby. Nannies, Moms, Dads and Caregivers are welcome!

$15 annual registration fee plus, $15/class or $135 for the full 10 week session if paid in full by the first class.

About the instructor: Coralyn Miller has been working as an educator with young children for over 13 years. She has her BS in Child Development and is a licensed instructor in Nurturing Pathways. Her passion and love for children has led her to a unique perspective of the importance of working with parents and children together to build learning pathways in the brain during these critical years.

Junior Dancers: Saturday, June 2nd at 2pm. Hood River Middle School's Auditorium.

Intermediate Dancers: Saturday, June 2nd at 7pm. Hood River Middle School's Auditorium.

Senior Dancers: Thursday - Saturday, June 14th-16th at 7pm... also a 2pm matinee on Saturday, June 16th.
Hood River Valley High School's Bowe Theatre.
