Learn more about how beer is made, taste the different styles produced and served at each destination and discover more about the history of each brewery. You'll hear the stories behind each business and have a chance to meet a wide range of owners, brewers and craft beer experts. This tour is designed to be a fun, educational and delicious introduction to Columbus' growing local beer scene.

Grandview Brewery Tour

The Grandview area is nothing short of the city's premier incubator for the craft of micro brewing. Starting in 1998, with Smokehouse Brewing (formerly Barley's Smokehouse and Brewpub), the area has seen tremendous growth in craft brew destinations, offering a wide range of intriguing styles of beer and brewing methods. We'll start our tour at Smokehouse Brewing for beer sampling and light apps. From there we'll explore a couple of the newer microbreweries in the neighborhood. Stops typically include Four String Brewing and Zauber Brewing Company. We'll end our tour at the Ohio Taproom where we'll be able to taste from a selection of harder to find Ohio-only microbreweries. This tour is an introduction to craft brewing in the region and is designed to be fun, educational, and delicious. This brewery tour is priced at $55.00. It includes tastings at 3 breweries, samples at the Ohio Taproom, a light snack, air-conditioned van transportation between all of the stops, and a guide with plenty of local beer knowledge. It lasts 3.5 - 4 hours. This tour is offered on select Thursdays and most Saturdays. This tour runs year round. Please check the calendar for available dates or contact us to arrange a private tour.

Pitchers and Pizza Tour

On this tour we'll introduce you to some of the finest pizza in Columbus paired with pours of exceptional Ohio craft beers. Your guide, local food writer and preeminent pizza historian of Columbus, Jim Ellison (CMH Gourmand) will mix pizza lore with microbrews at four of the city's most iconic pizza joints. We'll begin with what we're convinced is the thickest, gooiest, and best example of Chicago style pizza in the city. Delicious deep dish wedges will be paired up with brews from neighboring Four String Brewing.

With her new release Lola (out February 19 on her Luz Records label), Austin-based Chicana singer/songwriter Carrie Rodriguez realizes her dream of presenting her deeply personal take on Tex-Mex music. The fan-funded project, which features an all-star band that includes Bill Frisell, Viktor Krauss, and Raul Malo among others, pairs her ranchera-inspired original tunes sung in English and Spanglish alongside contemporary interpretations of songs by her favorite Mexican composers delivered in Spanish. The result is heartfelt music that evokes, in her own words, the rich landscape of blended cultures that I call home. Rodriguez and Luke Jacobs, both accomplished singers and multi-instrumentalists, bring their soulful sound to our intimate Performance Space-set up cabaret style with wine and beer service-with these stirring songs summoned from deep within.
