I had tears in my eyes the other day because I felt like some piece is missing and that’s the feeling of going back home to my homeland. It’s an overwhelming feeling and mix emotion knowing that all your family and relatives are waiting for you at the airport with their hands and feet. I miss those scenes. We were all excited to see each other and finally they got to see our first born (boy) for the very first time. Our next trip to the Philippines will be as exciting as it was too because they will be meeting our second child (girl). We really want to go back home 2 years from now!

Plans for 2010

Oh boy, 2009 is almost over and welcome to 2010. Like I’m really looking forward to that year huh? Well, hopefully our 2010 is good and health-wise as well. I think we will have another vehicle next year; we’re looking for roomy and gas economy type of vehicle this time. We might go somewhere out of town if circumstances permits us and I need to start stuffing the boxes that I’m going to send to my family back home. Hubby will be getting his pay increase next year too and I hope the blogging will get better also. Oh, another plans that we will have for next year is saving money and PTO (pay time off) because we’re dying to go back home in 2011 for our 2nd trip to the Philippines. We will have to work hard for these plans and we’re hoping that we will fulfill some of them if not all.

New arrivals of eye wear at Zenni

What a cool Holiday Fun Eyeglasses at Zenni. Zenni’s have New Arrivals of stylish and unique frames. I love the # 4409 which is Tailored Fashion Acetate Full-Rim Frame with Spring Hinge. Isn’t it cute? I will order one as soon as I get my eye wear prescription from my eye doctor. We are so fortunate to have Zenni because they sell the cheapest eyeglasses; their price starts at $8 Prescription Zenni Glasses. What do you think of that price? So cheap, huh! They also have quality products and I can attest to that, because I’m wearing their product.

Been to sonic burger yesterday

Success! Finally I was able to taste the real drive-in sonic burger. We tasted thier tater tots, burger, mocca shake and their onion ring. We love it and they’re good, I love their onion rings. Just imagine we drove 15 miles one way (from IB to Santee) just to have a taste of their burger. We don’t usually waste gas by driving too far just to eat burger but because of the crazy and tempting commercial they have we gave it a try. It was our first time to taste it but it will never be the last time that’s for sure.

Camera-Critters #83

It's my first time to join the camera critters meme. Apparently the front of the catalog said that my husband was pre-approved for credit so I decided to browse thru the catalog and look at the electronics pages since we have been considering buying a new TV but we don't know whether to buy plasma tvs or the LCD TVs. Good news though! After the longest time of seeing this commercial, finally there is sonic burger open for business now here in San Diego. Imagine the line was out to the street just to have a taste of their burger. And accordingly the people had to wait for hours just to place their order. Too bad for them. Unfortunately their restaurant is somewhere north of San Diego County and I think it's like a 30 minutes drive from Imperial Beach. I can’t wait to taste it though. My husband said that we will go there one of these days, maybe on Friday.

Thank God!

I’m talking about my mother-in-law. Thank God that she’s out in the ICU and she is now transferred to a homecare facility where she used to be at. She's doing ok but I guess she doesn’t want to accept any lifesaving treatments anymore. Before she was taken into the hospital the caregivers said that she was found in her bed unconscious and so they called rescue 911 to take her in to the hospital immediately. The rescuer used their AED lifeline device to rescue her until she become conscious. Her diagnosis was pneumonia, fluid in her lungs and heart attack. I remember those days when she was still in the ICU fighting for her life and everybody thought that her life will end right there. As a matter of fact, all her children flew in to see her before she’ll rest in peace. But it wasn’t her time yet. She is indeed a fighter.

SkyWatch Friday

Here’s my entry for this weeks SkyWatch Friday. I love the hue of natures. I think it’s refreshing to see this kind of breathtaking view. If you just saw this in person you will appreciate it more. Yes, that’s very true. Every store we went to is having huge sales. It’s overwhelming to see those items for sale but then I couldn’t even afford to buy some of them. Window shopping is for your eyes only lol. I went by to the beauty boutiques and I saw some natural acne treatment for less. I really want to grab some because it was the best deals ever but unfortunately I don’t have extra money for that. I hope they will still be on sale next payday so I can buy some of it. I will use some and most of them will be sent back home to the Philippines.

Envy me :(

I was looking at my friend’s photos when she and her daughter visited the Philippines a couple of months ago and it’s depressing to know that my family wont be able to go back home next year for our second vacation. Adventure up in the mountains of Cuyamaca and Julian (6000 ft high). These mountains are famous for their pies and many sandiegans and tourist visit up there during winter because that’s one of the few places here in San Diego that are snowing. We actually went there late last year (winter) and we’re thinking about going back there this winter. My son loves sledding and he never forgets those days where he had fun in the snow, so we will take him there again this year.

Need one?

Are you looking for Mopar parts to fit your Chrysler, dodge, or jeep vehicle? My sister-in-law has pets (cats and dogs) and for some reason my son gets scared of them even though they are harmless. I guess it’s because of my son is not used to seeing animals everyday, well, son get over it OK. My in-laws just bought some dog supplies when we were there because we saw it on their front yard. I hate to do this but I can’t help it because it bothers me when I look at the mirror and see some acne on my face. I might have to purchase some acne treatment whenever we get the chance to go out tomorrow. I used to just order it online or thru the hotline but it takes forever to get here so might as well just go to the store personally so I can apply the treatment as soon as I can. It’s really not advisable to pick on our pimples because the more it will get worse and it will just create scars on our face. My bad!

200 pcs. lumpia

I think I need some appetite suppressant so I won’t be tempted to eat some of the lumpia that I will be making tonight. The manager of our apartment phoned my husband the other day to let us know that he wants us to make 200 pcs. of lumpia and fried them ready for Monday. I think he will have a candle light party and he invited us over too. I asked him what is that party all about and he said that he’ll be having a candle demonstration and it’s up to us his visitors whether we will purchase some or not. But anyways, it will be another tiring night tonight because I will be wrapping 200 pcs.

A day at Balboa Park

Scroll the photo down to see more!!!

So much to see at Balboa Park and one day of wandering around is not enough. This time we went to air space museum so my son can see many different airplanes. He was excited to see them and we went by to their gift shop and bought an airplane toy. We also went to the train museum and see many different kinds of miniature trains. My son loves it. There are a lot of museums at Balboa Park from science, art, mens, animals, air space, international cookout, theater, national history to trains and a lot more. We actually rode the tram so we don’t get tired from walking far distances.

PhotoHunt 181: Words

Today’s photohunt theme is about “words”. Veolia Company is where my husband works for as a bus mechanic. We took this picture during the APTA (public transportation) show last year at convention center downtown San Diego. They were showing all kinds of buses and trains that’s part of the MTS public transportation here in our city. We had fun that day because we went home with all kinds of free goodies like tote bags, ballpens, hand made necklaces, and mugs as their giveaways. Happy photohunt to everyone and thanks for viewing my entry!

Workaholic

I’m tired of reminding my husband about almost everything especially when it comes to his hgh supplements. I want him to take his supplements everyday even when he’s off work but he never does it. Because I truly believe that people who are taking supplements has a great advantage than those who aren’t taking them. My husband is a workaholic and he is not getting any younger which means he needs to take care of his health wisely and supplements will help him do that for it boost his energy and will help him to not to become so tired at the end of the day.

Looking at the Sky on Friday

What can I say about this? Oh well, that’s how our skies usually look like here in San Diego. Blueeeeee… You can tell from the photo itself that we always have wonderful weather here compared to the other states here in the United States. I took this photo when we were heading to downtown San Diego and at the right hand side of the picture is Petco Park, one of the famous attractions here in our city. That’s my entry for this week and happy Looking at the Sky on Friday to everyone!

Never ending chores

I’m doing my house chores while hubby is at work. Geezzz! Our kitchen floor tiles are dirty again, I just scrubbed it the other day and now it’s dirty again. It’s hard to keep our house clean when toddlers run around all day making a mess. I need to get my chores done before my husband comes home from work because we promised our son we would take him to the beach today. We have to keep our promises to our children you know. We were supposed to go yesterday but we did some food shopping and we came home late already so there’s no way we could go to the beach.

Another humid week

Urrggg! I am so not looking forward to the next week’s weather. I was listening to the local weather forecast today and accordingly next week will be another humid day for us here in San Diego. Coastal area will be experiencing 90 degree Fahrenheit which is not good at all. I’m sure all the fire-fighters will be alert because of the fire issues. I just told my husband tonight that I’m sure we won’t be staying inside the house when that time comes. We probably have to go malling or go to the beach at least. What I hate about summer is that we need to open our front door and the flies will be coming in because we don’t have screen door. Ggeeezzzz!

<media:rating>nonadult</media:rating>
