1- First get CCleaner cleans all the clutter in your temps and such (free)
2- Then make sure you have 1/3 of your hard drive free, You sould never be filling up your drive too much....get externeal drive and store all you pic , movies ,mp3 there...
3- Use anti spy ware program and anti virus.(spy bot , AVG, adaware, Windows defender ALL FREE !!!! )
4- GET MORE RAM because it will speed up your PC

Free up disk space. A hard drive that is close to being full will drastically slow down your computer. You can clear up space by deleting temporary internet files, empty your recycle bin, remove programs that you do not use, put important files on an external hard drive.

Another way to free up disk space is to use "Disk Cleanup" on your Windows PC. To do this, click "start" and go to "Accessories", go to "System Tools", and click "Disk Cleanup".

Scan for Viruses, Adware, and Spyware. These nasty programs can slow down your computer worse than anything. I would recommend purchasing software that can remove all three of these common problems.

Don't automatically start up programs when you turn your computer on. Close any programs that you do not use that open when you start up your computer. These programs will run in the background and steal RAM (Random Access Memory).

Defragment your hard drive. Defragging your hard drive places all of your information for each file in one place.

Run a scan to check for viruses.

Clear all the files inthe Temp folder and also the cookies and browsing history in the internet browser.

Hopefully it should improve the speed.

You can also download and use CCleaner for cleaning the computer.

All the best!

Hi, Tech Expert here. I would recommend you get TuneUp Utilities 2010. It has great features like registry cleaner, Defragging Hard Drives, Speed up your computer, etc. This is the best maintenance software you will ever find out there. All these features really help to clean up your system and make it faster. You can get it from: www.tuneuputlities.com . Try out the free version and see if you like it, but i'm very sure you will and you should buy it after you have tried it out. It works very great and has a turbo feature which can speed up your computer without doing anything risky like overclocking or overvolt.

I would recommend using the Defragmenting hard drive tool, registry cleaner, and everything else thats there. It will surely make your computer faster. Trust me on this, if you try it you will be amazed. The software basically cleans up your system and stops the computer from freezing, corrupt data and faster load times PLUS faster read/write rate on the hard drive due to defragmenting. Note that the Defragment tool takes a couple hours to complete but it does speed up your computer. You can also choose what you want to have on start up and change windows skins, etc.

Another way of speeding up your system is updating your drivers. By doing this, you must find your exact model and first downloading the drivers. Then uninstall all the old ones and install the new ones. If you don't uninstall the old ones, it will interfere with your new ones and cause a lot of problems. For additional help on updating drivers please e-mail me. Any other help or questions, feel free to e-mail me.

If you can provide more information, or have any more questions, please email me via. my profile.
Thanks
