Have been here a few times now, and have always left happy. Its basic food, in basic surroundings. But you don't care when you're in there because its tasty as. Had a gorgeous sambal that was so surprising, had great flavour, and really enhanced the curry. Im really keen to get there on a weekend to try the stringhoppers! Its a really well kept secret...

Thanks Tess for your comments. Surprising that you and you friend cleaned up the plates and the ice kachang as well . Explaining to you that we do sell our own water and soft drinks is not telling off.

Just ate there. Got told off for bringing in a bottle of Mount Franklin that I never drank, just because I put it on the table, not that I didn't order any desserts/drinks. Horrible customer service because of that. Won't go there again. Such a waste, really, because the I actually thought that the curry was good. Unfortunately, the food portion was also pretty small.

This should be processed 15 minutes in a water-bath canner, as should all jams.

Do not reduce or eliminate the lime juice. It is in there for safety. You can substitute lemon juice for the lime juice, but do not use orange juice. It does not have the same amount of acid.

Well - this is a nice site. I love Kipflers - cut up small and roasted are delicious as they go nice and crispy on the outside which is how I like them. They hold their shape well and therefore are good for boiling.

Hi Matt!

What an amazing site you have here. Your photos are captivating and you have superior writing skills.

I just added you to my blogroll for a quick reference because I am sure I will keep coming back. I will definitely look forward to more posts on caffeine. You appear to ahve elevated knowledge on the infamous morning buzz while I still rely on the ones bought from supermarkets.

More power to your blog.
Janis

PS 30 something is not middle age. Just sayin' :)
