Hi Marc

Thanks for the response, in terms of luminance this is slightly variable and up to you, we used to be at 160 but reduced a couple of years ago to 120.

As for colour Space, ProPhoto is a great huge space, but as much of our work still goes to print we keep using Adobe RGB. The main reason is many of the colours in ProPhoto won't print unless you are using a wide gamut printer.

Does that help ?

Best

Hi,
great info, I have a NEC PA271W which is same as Reference series but with software calibration. I use a DTP94 colorimeter. Just two questions:
- Would you really prefer 5800k over the standard 6500k ?
- I work in artificial indirect tungsten light, 120cd would seem too bright , what luminance value would you suggest ?
- Regarding colorspace, though I know the NEC won't reach full adobeRGB support, wouldn't you set PS to prophoto like lightroom ?

Again many thanks,
Marc

Your site is really cool to me and your subject matter is very relevant. I was browsing around and came across something you might find interesting. I was guilty of 3 of them with my sites. "99% of blog managers are committing these 5 mistakes". http://tinyurl.com/d8r7ejo You will be suprised how simple they are to fix.
