I’m having the exact same problem as Julie. Tried deleting and re-entering the POP3 account several times, tried restoring my phone 4 times, turned it off and on a bazillion times and still nothing works? Really aggravating! Have so many e-mails in there, I’m afraid my phone will implode.

Thanks for this article. I have sign only certificate but Outlook is not sending the signed e-mails using this certificate? Any solutions to this or this is not valid use case i.e. my certificate should be both sign and encrpt.

THNK U SO MUCH!!! I did the account settings/authentication thing and it WORKED! UR A WONDERFUL PERSON!!! thnk u thnk u thnk u! my computer just wldnt send out emails, but it used to……. i ddnt understand wat was wrong?! BUT U FIXED IT HOORAY

My issue is similar, I select the emails to be deleted in my Hotmail account, the phone flashes black goes back the icon window, and the deleted emails are still there. I even went one at a time and put the emails in the trash. They delete, then once I am back on the main window, the messages are still there. I even deleted the account and re added it, it worked for a day and then back to the same problem.

Hi Michael,

The good news is, you will have your old computer as a safety net if things don’t work out. I am not sure what apps you have and what kind of data you have stored. If I was to guess, I would imagine developers would keep the application data packaged nicely so it should migrate easily. The only way to know for sure is to try it. Just make sure you backup before the migration. Good luck.

I’m about to get me a new windows 7 computer and it will be replacing my old XP. What I am still worried/confused about is: will all my applications with the data be as before I synced and back-upped my iphone – when doing it as you describe? As I understand you can allways get your purchased apps, but what I wanna know for sure is that all the data also is back-upped and restored. Best regards Michael
