Hello Mrs. Cofino. My name is Daniel Morgan, and I am a student in EDM310 at the University of South Alabama. The work you are doing to incorporate technology into the classroom is amazing. I like the idea of having student leaders teach the other students how to use their new laptop. The amount of time this would save would be massive. The other nice aspect of student leaders is that the teacher knows every student fully understands what is being taught. I imagine this will prevent a few headaches later in the school year. Thank you again for all your hard work.

Hi Kim,

We are just starting down this road now and are in the planning stages for a half day. This is such great inspiration and if possible, I am so curious about where you have gone from what you developed on that day. How operational I guess has this become in your work and conversations at YIS?

Thanks for sharing, I needed a little inspiration as I put this together!

Hi Kim;

I am wondering if I can use some of your work for a course that I am taking right now. I would of course attribute it to you, but your plan has many of the same words that I want to use and when I read it I keep telling myself that is exactly what I want to say. Thanks for your work I will send you a copy of mine when it is completed.

Hi Kim,

Thanks so much for sharing your work so generously. You have given me lots of ideas for things to work towards, in particular, ways to build a more networked and connected community at my school. Please keep the updates coming. I love your work.

Thank you for continuing to share your learning journey at YIS. At AES, we have modeled so much of our recent 1:1 iPad roll-out on your model at YIS and your blog inspires and pushes us to continue to grow. Your "Wish I Knew" video is a great idea and far more powerful when you hear the student voices. The CLC Parent orientation also provides some great ideas for our next PSA Coffee. Thank you Kim & YIS.

Hey Craig,

coming to you from Louisville. I just read your post and we are in the process of doing the exact same thing. We are wanting students to be able to upload pictures of their artwork, video, or audio files for other students to comment. im guessing you are looking to do the same thing. i am meeting with some other personnel this week about how to do it. we could share what both of us have found on here? always looking for a collab buddy!!

Hi Kim!! Great starter project!! My school is in the authorization process of IB. I am in the early stages of learning the Design Cycle. My job is to collaborate with the core content classes for one/two weeks to integrate technology. I have an entire computer lab, digital cameras, & a couple of flip cameras to use. I've had student make a comic strip to explain math equations, flip camera to film a 30 second PSA on recycling. but i was hoping to get some other ideas. i've searched the web and just wanted to get some feedback from another "design cycler". any suggestions?
