So I guess he didn't notice, huh? That's just it... people may wrinkle their nose at the thought, but no smell, no slime, no problem!:) I agree on the hair, tho. Don't think I can pull that one off.

My husband asked a few days ago if I had read your latest post, and of course I had (you need to post more often!) ... and I'd giggled when I read it, because I gave up soap recently too (but hadn't told my husband, as part of the experiment -- wanted to see if he *ahem* noticed any hippy stink). I couldn't be happier with my decision to stop bathing with soap, and my skin is better than ever. Yippee! So I made a post about it on my blog raving about the experience.

I'd like to give up shampoo too, and I have tried a few times in the past, but my hair is LONG and thick, and the transition period does me in every time. I will try again this winter when I don't have to be out and about as much, but I don't know that shampoo and I will ever part ways, even though some of my friends have given it up and have luscious hair (though much shorter than my own). We'll see how my next attempt goes, I guess.

And have I mentioned you need to post more often? ;)

Us Hadleys are everywhere, huh?! Well I'm glad and flattered you found me, Roberto. Thanks for writing! My husband and I have actually just relocated to Prague, in the Czech Republic, for a couple years. So we'll see what adventures await us here!

Empty promises!!!

Just kidding. I know you've got loads going on. Hmm, but maybe it would make for a good blog post? ;-)

Mm... yes, well played. I do believe that's part of it -- I break a sweat when I hang the laundry.

Another factor is that I am in Pacific Canada while you are in the Southern United States. The average temperature here in June is about 70-75, and this year it has been even cooler. I would imagine that hippy armpit makes an appearance much more quickly down there.

Thanks for dropping by.

One of the things that is interesting about this is how self-conscious I find myself about odor. I get little whiffs of 'hippie armpit' (like the term) and start wondering if I stink. That's the success of marketing talking, isn't it? Smelling even a little bit of your natural scent is somehow shameful.
