The idea is nice, but both the example by Jonathan and the Director version by Simon are still "proof of concept". When implementing the example by Jonathan with a series of pages I also encounter the issue reported by iAZZoZiTTi. And in the Director example you will see a black page during the curl - not very pretty. Anyway, as a "proof of concept" very valuable, but please do not stop working on a solid solution.

Right now, newWebView doesn't work on devices. 90%-95% of the time it crashes my app. Hopefully they will get working on this as this API is being promoted as a feature.

eHarmony Ad for ages 12 - 17?

I just ran my app with inneractive ads with the age range set from 12 - 17 and inneractive displayed the eHarmony app?

Looks like something should be addressed to have age sensative ads with greater accuracy.

Insist on a harness that is easily adjustable, with a single button or toggle. Avoid harnesses that adjust from the back.they're hard to reach. The easier it is to adjust, the more likely you'll do it correctly.

Hi, it seems like you are stripping away custom fields from the payload? You should not, it is an important piece in this kind of communication to be able to do something usefull when the user enters the app via a push notification. It is possible in other mobile frameworks, so please get this implemented asap. Here is an example of a message sent to apple, where everything is showing up in corona except for the custom field. We're using Urban Airship, and they support custom fields, so it is stripped away in Corona it seems:

{"aps": {"badge": 1, "alert": "Hello", "sound": "default"}, "device_tokens": ["xxx"], "custom_field": "custom_value"}

Hi,
I was wondering if I can dynamically define tables.
So something like this:

local theName = {"tableName1", "tableName2"}
local theName[1] = {}

Then having not only the initial table called 'theName' but also a table called 'tableName1'.

On the Net I found some references to:

local _G['theName[1]'] = {}

but that doesn't seem to work with the Corona SDK.

Thanks!

alex > Not at all, except a comment from Kevin in the previous blog post.
That's not the first time I see your call for a bit of recognition and publicity.
I feel your pain.
That reminds me a bit of Ricardo when Storyboard appeared.

As a reader of the blog, each time I read a case study I actually am interested in knowing more about *which tools* featured customers used to produce apps so that I can take advantage of it.

About Fire Cupid : the angle they take for their services and business is great, congratulations.
