Hi buddy,
Some excellent material on the Learning and Teaching site. I too am currently learning to play the guitar. All I've managed to do is moan about hurting my fingers. By the way just remember that 'you're brilliant!'

Barry - I have read what I now realise is your "modified" version of this post as I have just discovered your blog. I wanted to say how encouraged I am to read your thoughts on young people wanting to succeed. In my experience they do - but some don't have a clear sense of what success would look ( or feel) like for them.

Hi Lynne

Thanks for this, it is an interesting point. I would agree that most teachers will regard CfE as central to what they do, day-to-day.
My thoughts on this are more to do with how far people will actually be engaging with it. Because it is a great leap away from the prescriptive model that schools have been working in for many years and so therefore requires a great deal of 'teasing out'.
Do you think there has been enough time for this in schools or is it ongoing?
Might there be a danger of tinkering at the edges with the organisation of learning and not getting to the heart of a real change in methodology?

Barry I wonder if many of us no longer see what we're doing as part of ACE but just part of our jobs? This is of course a positive thing but might explain the blank comments?
