Always loved the Nowhere Man song and lyrics – about this sense of alienation that is more common than people admit. I thought the Nowhere Man was smarter than everybody else, lost in his own world and thoughts.

Another Beatle song I love, and it’s SO original – A Day in the Life – with it’s stream of consciousness lyrics…

Woke up, got out of bed
Dragged a comb across my head
Found my way downstairs and drank a cup
And looking up I noticed I was late

Found my coat and grabbed my hat
Made the bus in seconds flat
Found my way upstairs and had a smoke
And somebody spoke and I went into a dream
Ahhhh Ah Aaaaahhh …

Imagine writing that and setting it to music. Probably a little difficult for kids sing though.

Great to see the kids we have known since Kinder having great fun, eat your heart heart out “TV Glee”. This Gleek is a #1 fan of BHC.

We may lose Mr. Tabone and band to Hollywood….. Nooooooo.

I love the shade. Somehow, after humming the notes, I recognized the tune. (We sang it in high school choir) I always thought in German the first line, “Alle Menchen werden Bruder” meant “All mankind is family!” Save our school!

Well I was driving by this morning and I stopped and looked at the notes on the screen. Never looked at them carefully before. Indeed it is the Ode to Joy tune.

It got me humming the two songs I learned with this tune, when I was in 4th, 5th and 6th grade in Paris. I thought it was the most beautiful music in the world. Here’s the ways I remember Ode to Joy:
