It's gotta be my vintage trench-coat. Burberry. Can't remeber how long I've had it, but I love it!

Oooh... please let me know which charity shop will have the honour of your leftovers. I will most definitely drop by asap as I can imagine only gorgeous things will come out of your wardrobe.

Hi Laura,
I wish I could just be happy putting on the first thing that falls out of my wardrobe in the morning but unfortunately it isn't that straight froward.
I agree with you on all points! I dress for everyone and anyone and most definitely myself. I dress to feel good and to make sure I don't let go. I definitely want to look good for my man. I totally believe that it isn't just the inside you fall in love with but that the outside is also important.
Not ashamed to say that I struggle with the effortless art of dressing but at least I enjoy every moment even if it means changing clothes three times before leaving the house! Ha, ha...

Dear Brunette Approaching 40,

This doesn't sound like a mid-life crisis at all, but rather a very good excuse to re-vamp your entire look, starting from the head down.
Good for you! Please tell us how it goes. As a fellow Mother-of-two-and-hurtling-towards-Forty I am eager to see what life beyond peroxide looks like, because surely I will be venturing that way myself pretty soon.

x Love, Heidi
PS. Madonna is the only woman I know who is a)older than us AND b) looks fantastic with an inch of dark roots showing. The rest of us really should not be going there.

Maybe not a Prada handbag this time as you just got a new 'Lie down I think I Love You' bag! But I'm sure I can stretch to a few goodie bags from the catwalk shows.

Comment on High Waisted Trousers - A Great Return by Heidi

I'm liking this high-waisted look, especially with your nostaligic references to the 80s. But sadly, as a 20 week + pregnant person, I no longer have a waist and am unable to see my pelvis either, for that matter, so this look isn't going to be mine for some time to come (if ever!). I may salvage the situation with the 'Get the look' long and front ruffled cardigan and my existing loose-waisted trousers. If the weather turns cold is it too much to team this with some leg warmers, just for old times sake? Nah, only kidding.
