you have really started a good discussion here. The comments made by this writer are misinformed. A paste and cut approach to the Bible is usually taken by those who want to prove an extremist point. I question though if maybe our culture has conditioned us to believe that unless you can prove something by empirical evidence then it must be untrue. I wonder if we should start to question our b...

Never underestimate the power of human cussedness and the ability to rationalize away calamity one can't directly see.

But as you say, I think we're inching forward. When I have a solar/wind/battery hybrid system on my house to charge up my electric car (and run the household), I'll know we have arrived. Ok I'll know we have at least set our feet on the path of saving this planet from the 6th

Watched "Who Killed the Electric Car" recently (great documentary), then i heard that GM and Tesla are making another run at the electric car (yay for progress!) hopefully development of this technology can continue forward uninterrupted by the powers that depend on oil consumption.

maybe they've improved since the last post here, but I just sent my defective 360 in on 02/11/08 and the gift card has already arrived and I was able to use it to buy my new 360 elite. Good buy, for me anyway...though as someone else said, I'm going to rely on the Msft warranty this time around since it's now a 2 year warranty for "free" as opposed to a $60 add-on at Best Buy.

Bruce,

In case it ever comes up -- after my year fixing cell phones for a living, I learned the secret to solving corrosion. Get an old toothbrush and some rubbing alcohol, and brush the circuit board thoroughly. I brought fully dunked phones back to life with that trick!

Well, I paid another year for it already, but I am giving up the blogging solution that required me to have client softward. blogspot has everything I need, and I can update my blog from any computer. And, my custom blog software was getting a little old in the tooth.

William,

Psionics will be part of 4th Edition, definitely, though perhaps not immediately.

As far as how the PPs were determined, I recall it was half science, a quarter art, and a quarter playtesting to get what seemed like the right numbers. So I think you'll have difficultly getting any algorithm to perfectly mirror the sequence, sorry! :-)

I have a small question about the outlook of psionics in 4th Ed. I am sure that that looks to be in the far future, but I love psionics, so I figured I would mention it. Also, I was wondering how the PPs were determined in XPH for psions/wilders. I cannot seem to drive a usable math function and I wanted to get a general idea of what concepts were used. So, mostly craziness, but just curios.
