the camp should have been preserved the way it was at the end of the war…..everyone needs reminding of the tragedy of war as well as the massive american teamwork put forth by everyone during wartime.

I have a wartime map with the location and names of all the buildings out there. There was a camp graveyard there for P.O.W.’s who died, but the bodies were removed after the war and sent home to their kin. After the war, all of the buildings were cleaned out and the material buried in 2 spots.(I have dug there and found old dog tags, hundreds of shaving mugs dated 1940, hundreds of coke bottles dated 1940, etc..) Forget the satanic stuff. I’ve camped out there many times and the only deaths and satanic crap were kids from the area who wanted to perpetuate that image. Just about the only thing that went on out there was a lot of parking by local teens looking for some privacy from the Ball police.

I hear they used this place long after the camp was shut down and that it was used as a sex slave chamber in the recent 10 years. Murder is almost a certain if thats true. Till one day (this is going to sound cheesy but i put my hand on the bible this is a true story) me and my friend met a women, friend of a friend, who was a pagen (which is wierd considering all of us are religious people) Shes the sweetest person ever lol. But anyway, she does ghost hunting with her friends (much older than us). She asked if we wanted to go, since weve never been to some other parts like the “ice house” or “the devils circle” which is a part in the woods where its a complete circle where trees just don’t grow. And the ice house as they call it, well, a few people ended up dead there, murder actually. So, we went lol being teenagers and all (im 20 now) i really like watching it on t.v so i thought id do it in real life. We went to the ice house first, im not a medium what so ever but the whole time i had goose bumps and my nerves and hair stood on end..i didn’t like it. We used a box to communicate with them, idk if it was legit but the box said only a few select words on repeat like, “get out” or “home” me and my friend was being silly and asked if there was some cute guys here, if so do they think were cute..we got, “maybe…” then a distinct, “YES”. Creeped me and her out..lol After all of that we decided to look for Brandy(the pagen who brought us). But we couldn’t find her anywhere, we looked in and out of the ice house. So, we walked around the back (i kid you not) she was standing with her back toward us whispering and almost in tears..so we was worried and asked what was wrong, she whips around and says with concern and worry, “we need to leave, i feel darkness and it doesn’t like us here” (if i did’t mention it, she told us she was ‘sensitive’) Considering that, we left the ice house and drove to the “devils circle” which stories have it doesn’t like women in it, made me feel uninvited so all the of us walked in it. (i had on my brave face, but secretly in was on the brink of screaming). But when we pulled up to this devils circle..on the outside of it theres a fence and on the entrace walk way there a concrete wall thingy that came up to my waist. She said thats what keep the spirits at bay was this fence bc theres a mad spirit lady who doesn’t like company. She’ll make your nose bleed or back spasms etc. (ha! i thought it was stupid..) I forgot to add this part, when we pulled up a tree was blocking the road to the entrance. So brandy got out to see and she walked to the tree and saw the tree (BIG ASS oak tree) had knocked the fence down a good bit. She saw it as a sign but we carried on any way and got to walk around the tree and go in..no joke i swear within 10 minutes brandy was so sick almost throwing up..shit, i was fine i was holding burning sage lol or somethiing. So, she walks over to us bc me and my friend are just aimlesly walking around in the dark. Tells us we should go, doesn’t feel right. We start walking out and like clock work the wind blows so hard and then coyotes start howling, starting from ahead of us, then to our right then left..lets just say i wasn’t waiting around..i did cross country and softball, i took off to the car lmao. We all got in and brandy says, “that was a sign she didn’t want us there” shit….i didn’t care if it was jesus christ himself, felt like a concrete sign to me to get the hell out. Unfortunatly, its not over..yet. She drives us through the woods again to where an old hospital used to be..an crazy asylum? idk. But we pull up and get out, she tells us its okay here, she only feels good presences. So, we doodle around..im kinda bored and creeped out, wanna go home lol Then we here a loud ass truck coming our way..we think great some crazy ass rednecks with nothing else to do..well there truck starts slowing down like it gunna turn down the road where on (livingston has so many twists and turns, if your not familiar with it, don’t bother) and sure enough it does..so we go back to the vehicle, me and my friend that is to see if we know them, we had just graduated from high school..helps knowing a few people. They pull up to us, stop, shine there brights in our face. My friends pissed so she starts walking towards the truck to tell them to go another way or stop being a fucking ass, and a voice (i kid you not) was strange, i can’t describe it, i know this sounds beyond crazy stupid but demonic like. All he said to her when she was almost at the window was, “don’t” a very calm don’t. she stopped in her tracks and said, “well, why not? your being an ass by shining your brights on us, what do you want?” all he said was, ” please, just turn around and go home, please.” Like he was pleading to her to go home. (i was right behind her while he was talking, we couldn’t see his face). She just says whatever turns around and walks off and he starts to back dwn the road to leave when he gets to the end he turns right and his truck is almost loud enough you could hear it a mile and a half away..as soon as he turns we don’t hear him anymore. We figure hes playing with us, as soon as we leave hes gunna follow. So, we do one better, we go to him, get in the car and back out but when we turn right..nobodys there, theres no trails or roads near by for him to go down. (i have always loved watching ghost shit on t.v..nothing was compared to this. ) So, after we are..idk..just about freaking the fuck out! Brandy makes it worse by saying, ” girls i didn;t want to say anything while he was here but..i think he was possessed, i felt a dark energy, we need to leave..tonite has been a really wierd confusing night for me” By the way im on the brink of tears..never in my whole damn life have i experienced anything like that. I wanted a history lesson, i did one better. But, till this day i have never went back. By the way..her husband is in the army for there, i thought i was freaked out by what happened..the stories he told us about the REAL history of camp livingston (which he made us swear to never tell, im not joking or being retarded either) there completely ‘secret’, the public isn’t supposed to know about other killings of army people that was ‘unexplained’. Believe me or not I DON’T CARE..honestly i don’t. That was my story of camp livingston, say its not haunted or say it is. I know my truth.

The “bunkers” that were near the icehouse have been demolished and removed. The old lift station site where the pump buiding was once located has been completely filled in with dirt and buried along with many other “fall hazard” locations scattered throughout the camp. Much more of this “clean up” is slated for the near future as several large hoppers have been set up in various areas.

Camp livingston is a place where people go to party and make trouble. It is a place where the law enforcement rarely goes, so people go there to do there drugs, dump stolen cars, and others go to figure out the truth about these mysterys. I first started going to figure out the truth about these mysterys also. After years of going to camp livingston, I have came to the conclusion that it is definately not haunted. It is a place that is scary, because there is no lights, there is many animals making crazy noises. Although I have never seen them, I do believe there is probably some weirdos out there devil worshiping. It is not a good place to be after dark, unless you are with a lot of people, or have your 12 gauge in your lap. I am 100% positive, it is not haunted, you will not see any shadows or be scratched unless you see a deer walk across the road or get scratched by a raccoon. People have dumped bodies there, for example a guy i went to school with, Robert Smith, killed his sister and dumped her body there. Family would get together and take a dozen or more three-wheelers and we would ride all over the place. I can tell you, there aren’t many places more haunting around. There are some pretty horrific stories (most of which I can only recall bits and pieces of) revolving around the old ice house. Satanic cults were the norm there in the 80’s and I stayed close to my grandfathers side and his pistol stayed close to his. We had loads of fun there, ridding from sun up to sun set, but there was the ever present thought of what else roamed that land.

I remember firing my first Stoner design rifle there (Eugene Stoner, inventor of the M16 and father to all the AR-15’s and M4’s we have today). We were shooting some bottle rickets into a chert pit when a National guard truck pulled up. They were just roaming about and as I recall my grandfather knew one of them. After some pestering on my part he let me shoot one round from his rifle. I had the empty shell casing for years. It’s a very fond memory.

I also recall being out later than we should one night. We were close to the icehouse and my uncle sat on his three wheeler smoking a cigarette. He thumped it into a large open pit and it hit the bottom. Then it moved about two foot and started glowing brightly as if another draw was being taken from it. I’m not sure a group of Hondas have EVER run so hard to get back to the truck.

(2) Across or on a National Forest System road or a body of water adjacent thereto, or in any manner or place whereby any person or property is exposed to injury or damage as a result in such discharge.

You would call the Forest service law enforcement to report a violation because the Game Warden and the local police can not enforce this.

It is interesting to note that this rule makes it against federal law for hunters to hunt on FS land that is next to your land. If your land is occupied or has trails on it….Home hardware has Hunter Safety zone signs you can buy to post on your property lines. You have to write in 150 yards and (36 CFR 261.10(d)) on the blanks.

An hour later we was heading back to the car and went home. The very next morning we woke up and we have see about 70 to 100 baby hand prints and smears all over the car . ( we washed it the evening before we went out there). I was at the entrance on the ball side , ( theres a four wheeler trail on the left) we was all out there one night drinking and about 50 yards away we seen this yellowish light in the woods coming at us at a slow speed and it was steady ( it wasnt moving side to side or up and down ) it chase us to the car . My dad use to be a cop for rapides parish, he has told me that there were times we was patroling the area and he has broken up cults out there , with pep all around the fire with goat heads on sticks .
