Yay – Finally a regular Cereal Wednesday without those snobby imports again!

Great review as usual! (Just a shame about the now-lost unrecorded episode)

Am I crazy for hitherto thinking that the berries would be, y’know, actual berries?

I do find it interesting that they’re explicitly marketing the retro crowd now. It makes sense, but I didn’t expect it from cereal.

I do know what spelt is, but only vaguely. Here we call all wheat “wheat” and don’t tend to differentiate yet. Whenever I hear “spelt” I think of bird food and get confused about why I would be eating bird food.

We loved filming that episode, thank you for the fun!

I had read your entire page of notes about this cereal when I first received the package, but I didn’t want to be biased during the filming, especially since Dawg was “running the show” for that episode, so I forgot you said that you hadn’t tried it.

I feel this strange mixture of guilt and glee that is usually reserved for successful pranksters, even though I think that I’ve probably been upfront enough about this stuff. In any case, this certainly was a highly entertaining installment of Cereal Wednesday and I’m glad that you did not lose your humor in the face of the health-food horror that I had unleashed upon you.

To answer your question, I have not had this particular version of this cereal before, but I did eat one with apple flavoring and I found it okay enough. Also, I was surprised that you are not familiar with spelt (or “Dinkel” as it is known in Germany), but then I realized that it’s probably one of those local things. Over here, it’s one of those grains that are synonymous with health food.

I wonder if Dawg would be creeped out even more if he knew that the Maus is a silent protagonist whose only sound is the unnaturally loud blinking of his eyelids…

Funny how, no matter where one goes, it all seems to keep collapsing back into Cap'n Crunch… Which doesn't even exist over here!

Wonderful review as as always, of course. It actually did turn out to be one of your most entertaining ones.

PS: Slight site problem: The second embedded video doesn't seem to work at all. I assume that was a clip from "Die Sendung Mit Der Maus"?

This certainly was an entertaining installment! I’m a little surprised that you still rated this one so highly. I thought that the lack of pumpkinship and the plywood-like structure would be more of an issue. I guess it’s just that tasty!

Quite entertaining review! I’m a little surprised by how positive this turned out to be – You don’t seem to get that many very enjoyable marbits these days.
