They are pretty steep. If you want anything between the 30′s in the first level you’re looking at $400-600 on Stub Hub last I checked. Nosebleeds are $170 and up.

I’m holding off for a bit… Working on some season ticket holders I work with. Told em I’d give them double face, but Seattle doesn’t get too many Monday night games, so they kinda want to go. But I’m working em.

I believe that DD ended up with the ball on at least 2 occasions in 2011 while on the hands team during on-side kicks. Ergo, he is contributing member on special teams.

He is also exceptionally driven. You could see his competitiveness on DWTS. If it is even close, he’ll “will” himself to gain a position on the 53.

Some beat writer keeps talking about STs & fans fall for it. There’s nothing Borel/Gurley can do on STs that can’t be done already without them. It’s all about who AR feels comfortable with in the last 2 minutes of a critical game to gain a playoff spot late in season 2012. Believe me, DD may be called on. Gurley/Borel will be nowhere in sight.

They’re restructuring his contract for a reason. I would still say there is a reasonable chance for DD to get bumped by Borel or much more likely Gurley. DD doesn’t play special teams while the other two do so they both offer skills that DD doesn’t so they even have a leg up on him in that regard. DD will have to perform in the preseason/camp or he may not be here during the regular season

Well, if you are gonna retire Favre’s, why not retire Hornung’s, as well? Great player between the lines, instrumental in championships, just a total dirtbag otherwise. Same criteria. Sorry, but Favre’s shenanigans really make you think: If you retire his number. what about Hornung?

It’s good to see that TT/MM can see through the haze & fog that evidently many fans are unable to penetrate. Eventually, (come late August) it’ll be even more laughable that anyone actually thought that a Borel or a Gurley could bump a proven veteran off the 53.

Go ahead and retire it. Take the high road. It’d probably piss him off anyway. He still holds a grudge just by the way he’s acting with the rookie QB Coleman. Coleman said he prcticed with him all winter and after the Pack drafted him Farve hasn’t talked to him. Retire it and move on.

I posted this yesterday at Jersey Al’s site:
“I think the team and him (DD) have a handshake agreement that preceded his tweet. Since he doesn’t play ST if he can’t beat out JJ and Cobb for the 4th receiver he retires and the Packers sign him to a personal services contract similar to what Murphy offered BF. Of course if he does make the team the contract goes into effect when he’s done playing hence the “Packer for life” comment.”

I think the roster bonus money gets deferred and added to the PS contract. He’ll be an ambassador for the team which would still allow him to pursue opportunities coming on the heels of his DWTS success. The other option is he would be an ideal replacement for Rob Davis.

A lot of really good points.

I’m in the camp of the charges were dropped, so that’s where our judgement of him should end.

There is an interesting line football players walk in their lives. They are encouraged and rewarded for being violent in their jobs. At the same time that behavior is not accepted in society. I don’t believe it is easy for them to “turn it off.” I loved the violence of the game when I played. After I stopped playing I sent a couple of guys to the hospital because I couldn’t contain myself in games of flag football. It was tough turning that off.

I don’t think Green or Saine are a better option than Grant. Not based on the numbers. Based on stats Starks is not objectively better than Grant. They are close but Grant was seemingly more explosive, longer long run at 47 yds, and an 80 yd screen for TD. Perhaps the others have more potential but the facts are Grant was the most productive back. Of course, he’s 29 so there could be an assumption he will decline but I wouldn’t assume too much. Some backs (thomas jones) can be productive as they get older. Grant is just a guy, but he’s a better guy than all the other guys they had last year. If they get Grant cheap that is great security.

I am not sold on Green, he hasn’t shown anything yet. He could be a total bust. Hard to say.

Funny thing is, I really liked Saine… he just looks like he knows what he is doing out there (purely subjective).

I think the RB position is evolving into another kind of receiver position… kind of like TE did. I’d love to see them get a guy who can really catch well out of the backfield.

Just thoughts…
