		<description>Thanks for the correction Chris, you are quite right, it was 3 million years.  Not sure how I managed to get that wrong, this being one of my favourite programmes.

Of course since this was written we've been treated to Red Dwarf X which I enjoyed a lot, it really seemed to recapture some of what made the earlier series of Red Dwarf so great.

What did you all think of series X?  It was pretty popular it seems and I'm hoping Red Dwarf XI might now be a possibility!</description>
