Thanks. I just read the editorial last night - actually from Donald Miller's page - and couldn't agree more with the need to separate the true Gospel from the gospel of the far right and the far left. I get so incensed at the talking heads distorting the Truth for their personal/political gains.

Michael & Patrick,
Thank you both for putting this on. I hope more and more men and women see this addiction for what it is - an incidious, sinful way of life that destroys relationships and oneself. I only wish my former husband had the courage to serve divorce papers to porn instead of having the real kind. Marriage is a precious gift from God and Satan will use whatever tools he can destroy marriages and people, so we must stand fast! Patrick, may God bless you abundantly for your decision!
Peace be with you,
Sheelz

Thanks for posting this, Michael. I've been pretty troubled about how so many well-intended followers of Christ are falling for false political Gospels which places more emphasis on a certain way of doing things than the exact nature of Jesus. There are plenty of examples to go around, but suffice to say, when we our "fellowship" comes from people who share our political beliefs, regardless of their belief in Jesus, we are in trouble.

Great post. Fostering discontent is short sighted and emboldens a critical spirit in a church. Who wants to be a part of that? But a church with people who encourage and bring life is contagious.

This is very powerful insight and a lesson we all need to heed. Thanks for being honest in your reflections. It's pretty scary how easy we can lose focus of God's desire and become driven by our own!
On another note, I need to contact you regarding permission to use your Maslow chart from your blog in 2008 on the Apostle Paul and Abraham Maslow's on Needs and Wants. You can reach out to me at the above email address.
Blessings

Good word Michael. It's far easier to demolish a building and complain about all the things wrong with it as it lies in ashes than to pick up a hammer and start building something new.
