Hey Clayton,

Are you related to Nelson Bell or Rev. B. Clayton Bell at all? My wife and I serve in China and after reading "A Foreign Devil In China" we were really impressed with Nelson Bell. In fact, if we have a 2nd son we want his middle name to be "Nelson." We were also excited that we are serving in the same province that he did. We actually tried to find his gravesite the last time we were in the States, but were unsuccessful. I know it is somewhere right outside of Asheville, NC. If you are related to these guys and know where the gravesite is, could you give me directions? We are currently back in the States raising more support and would love to swing back to the gravesite on our way back to Winston-Salem.

Another connection is that I went to Berry College in Rome, GA and after reading the book I found out that Rev. B. Clayton Bell was pastor of First Pres. Rome for a while. I went to First Pres during my time at Berry.

Thanks for any help you can provide.

Wow I can't believe we are just taking parts of the Bible and asking each other "should we or should we not" I may be old school but SIN is sin and we can't accept one part and do away with the other. His word is the whole counsel. We don't hate the person but we must attempt to show them Jesus and it will make those who don't have a relationship with Him uncomfortable because it exposes the sin.The value of it was or should be not a we win mentality but we care for you and Jesus loves you and wants to change all things in you that is not in line with His written word...The Bible.I believe if we are truely a living example of Jesus, sinners and unbelievers will be drawn to our example.Only the religious rejected Jesus.just saying!!!!

A lot of businesses up here do offer incentives. If you check in at one place near our church and show the cashier you get a free scoop of ice cream. Another local pub will give you free drinks if you're the mayor and I've seen a bunch of other stuff like that. Makes it fun to check out all the places with foursquare incentives. Good review...

Spot on assessment of the service/program.

I have been using foursquare for about 2 or 3 weeks, ad nauseum and much to the chagrin of my facebook friends. Let's just say I earned the "Overshare" badge pretty quickly! I break things in by, well, trying to break them. :)

I have had to work through a few bugs (I think they are end user error actually) but your advice about keeping the check-in posted to foursquare unless additional info is added. This is the part where I wish more people would use foursquare. So many of my friends, followers, followees, stalkers, etc simply update their status by stating where they are......argh....that's fascinating.....use foursquare, then say something pithy. Created banter amongst your friends and help keep your favorite places in business.....even though you buy a half caf, double decaf vente latte with extra foam everyday, this may not completely support your local coffee joint....but free advertising may. :)
