They look like they're designed to run without cooling and 160F isn't necessarily an unsafe temperature for the chip itself, but if I were going to run more than 1 or 2 of these, say in a hub right next to each other, I'd probably want to add a little fan for some airflow.

At current difficulty levels they'd pull in about $1 a day worth of coin (roughly 0.01 BTC). They're not the most powerful or profitable ASICs out there, and will take a while to pay themselves off, but if you want something in your hand within a few days these definitely fit that bill.

Yeah, it's mostly about suspicious traffic. It's also largely specific to the YouTube space, I've noticed that people selling ads on Bitcoin-related web sites don't seem to get banned, but advertising on Bitcoin-related videos seems to be problematic. Of course we'll never really know why this is happening because YouTube/AdSense refuse to respond to any inquiries of any kind once an account is closed.

Are you sure this is due to the topic of Bitcoin?

Looking at Google Adwords (which is where Adsense comes from) there are plenty of advertisers bidding on Bitcoin related keywords. As far as I'm aware, bitcoin phrases aren't breaching any Adwords policies so the issue might be another factor.

You make an interesting point about the referral traffic looking suspect, however.

Cool unboxing and mining demo!

I'm a mining newcomer and just wondered due to the heat these things throw out, would you recommend cooling them somehow?

Also, what sort of earnings would you estimate from one of these?

If you take it apart, are there mounting holes to mount the miner on a 120mm/92mm/80mm fan mount inside a case ? If so i will order me 3 or 4 of these things !

ASICMiner doesn't sell these directly unless you buy in bulk. Your best bet right now is to go through one of the numerous resellers on ebay or amazon, though there is something in the works that might make life much easier.

That's all pretty cool. And I really don't care if they overheat.. or the way they look. Or even having to run a miner for that matter.

I'm more interested in performance.
Usb power is great, harshrate is not. Consider the dificulty rising (and about to rise quite a bit), would take forever to get your investment back.

Still as a concept I realy like the potential. Usb Power, 1Ghs (or above), and 50 bucks per unit would be an interesting ratio. With the actual specs, it's just a pretty curiosity.
