:) Consumption won't make you happy in the long run but it is really seductive (as so is technology). I agree with you completely (and I am sorry for commenting on a really old post), the internet has become boring. "Freedom means being able to do those things which are most in-line with the highest vision of ourselves". Computers and social media have failed terribly to make us "free" or encourage us to do those things which we really want but do not have the will power to achieve. Instead we (or at least a previous version of myself) spend hours in front of a machine paradoxically demanding a touch of humanity instead of standing up and seeking it ourselves.
Is it time to design technology that will make us more humane? To keep us align with what we really want?
I don't want to sound like a tech-paranoid old person, but we've become to dependant on it.
Hope this wasn't boring for you. (and this is not spam!)

It really does work. I don't have 4g speeds from this mini-cell tower, but I get 3g through it. And 6 bars... it's the greatest thing I've gotten from my cell phone company in a long long time. If your reception stinks in the house, I would suggest talking to your provider and see if they can hook you up!
