Hi, Mary! If you do a search on confession in the search bar at the top right, you will be able to pull up previous chapters of St. Francis de Sales' Introduction to the Devout Life which discuss confession. Also, looking ahead a few weeks will be another chapter devoted to it. I agree, that confession is much misunderstood these days, as well as sin and our relationship with Our Savior. I'll try to write something soon. Thanks for stopping by!

Great, beautiful article. Maybe you could write on the importance of being free of mortal sin when receiving the Eucharist. Many people do not understand that missing mass is a mortal sin and that you should not receive the Eucharist without first going to confession. Many do not understand mortal sin at all and the need to go to confession. This is not being taught anymore and it's very sad. Many people truly believe they do not need to go to confession anymore. If only they understood the importance of it the the beauty of how freeing it is.

Great article. I will definitely be trying some of these for myself. Thank you for posting it.

For those who are inclined, my next four worship podcasts will focus on the Advent season, incorporating hymns, praise choruses and chant. I hope this Advent blesses you.
