This is a great article. I, too, was duped into thinking all my hard work would eventually add up and pay off. As I wrote articles in the past, a percentage of my articles were always rejected ...so I rewrote them or moved on...never suspecting my articles were likely stolen and re-edited. I continued to write until eHow decided to pull the plug. They offered to buy my best producing articles for a fraction of what they were producing. I declined the offer, copied my articles and put them in a folder, fully intending to republish them later on another site. Recently I submitted a dozen of my articles to another WCP. All articles were rejected as they were "already published!"
Looking into this I discovered my articles were quasi-rewritten by people who obviously were not versed in my field of expertise! eHow took my productive EXACT article titles, used my original photographs and then had the article modified enough so I can't claim it's mine! One article (a structural foundation repair article) was re-written by a 60+ year old lady who claimed to be a financial investment expert in her bio!!
I'm sorry everyone...but WTF??? This morning while I was looking over my company website I discovered specific article links I set up to direct readers to my eHow link were all pirated and rewritten. Most of the rewriting was erroneous, simplistic and incorrect information! THESE ACTIONS ARE NOTHING SHORT OF BLATANT AND ARROGANT THEFT. Please include me in any class action suit forthcoming.

Yes, Sabra, this plugin does have an automatic scrolling feature. Check the developer's site, and he usually answers questions quickly if you contact him or post on the WordPress page for the plugin. (Links for both in post, above. Click the installation instructions link to go to WordPress.)

Yes, Marta, we definitely have to remember to evaluate every breach to decide whether it's really in our best interest to pursue it, or whether it might be a waste of time.

That's a good conclusion: keep writing good content and promoting it. Such a bothersome world, though, isn't it?

Good point, Marta! It does show which type of ads are bringing in the lion's share of your revenue. Sadly for those of us who don't want sleazy ass ads on our sites, those seem to pay the best. Go figure.

Thanks, Crunchy! I didn't know about this editable filter until you pointed it out. And BTW, the screen also gave me a better idea of what is driving my Adsense income. Very useful tool!

Wow, that's so...deep. Almost hard to tell it's a SPAM COMMENT. Your link has been removed. Read my comment policy. I do NOT ACCEPT SPAM COMMENTS PERIOD. With the exceptional example of course, and you won that prize because you left TWO STUPID SPAM COMMENTS ON THE SAME POST. Maybe you should spend your time building a real blog so I can come and spam you. Your IP: 115.240.231.174, is in the Pink City of Jaipur. You live in such a beautiful city, why don't you go find something productive to do there?
