The Conservative manifesto feels pretty thin and unvisionary on the issue of funding for arts and culture. Investment in the arts is minimal in relation to overall government spend, so why can't our potential government stand firmly in support of maintaining investment in a sector which, despite its size, can have a dramatic and positive impact on society, our communities and the civilised health of our nation
