Thank you for the questions about the PermaLip implants for lip augmentation. I would not say that the implants help “define” the border of the lips, but they do enhance the lips at the borders so that they appear more prominent. Right on! As Ms. Atkinson said, it truly is THAT simple. I, too encourage anybody considering (any) cosmetic plastic surgery to go see Dr Wolfe or Dr. Vath – they truly will provide the straight, honest and educated answers you need to make the best choice possible.

I, too have been told “not yet” by Dr. Wolfe. While disappointed at the time, I appreciated Dr. Wolfe’s reasonable conservatism in discerning the appropriateness of that procedure for me AT THAT TIME. There are far too many plastic surgeons out there today who will indiscriminately perform surgery for people – whether the proposed procedure is appropriate for them or not. This trend is, in my opinion, unfortunate at best. It’s reassuring to know that an extremely gifted and circumspect surgeon like Dr. Wolfe is available to consumers considering cosmetic plastic surgery.
