I may just do that? I'm going to look around a bit more first. If I do decide to try it I'll let you know, either way.

Patrick, I have yet to see a point-and-shoot which works. But there is a first time for everything. Why don't you try it and let us know?

@FD, I doubt it. Why don't you try and let us know. It's free!

@Neil, I appreciate your support!

@Paul, sadly I can't work out how to do that. Something about the camera insisting on finishing writing the image to card before it will tell the PC it is ready for the next shot.

I have an old Nikon E 950 that only works with a serial cable. It's broken at the moment anyway. Anyway My question is this. Does this software work with or can it be modified to work with a Pentax Optio W 80? Via USB2. I know it's kid stuff compared to the others, but I don't have the cash for the big guns any more. my last real Nikon was an F3 35 mm. This tiny little point and shoot Pentax has allot of hi end features. And if you know how to create art with a machine, understand the theory and know how to set the controls to make the camera see what your mind is seeing, 12.1 mpx, and HD Video from something very close to the size and weight of a pack of cigarettes is just fine for now. Bottom line. Do you know where I can get Software similar to yours for this camera? Thanks in advance for any ideas you may have. Patrick

A huge thank you, app works perfectly with D300s, Windows Vista, since I got the camera I can't afford to spend out on Nikon's expensive software. If you were local I'd buy you a pint!
Completely agree with Eoin's PS
Thanks

Thanks for making this available. It's working great for me using a D40x tethered to my laptop running XP.

I notice that if I fire the camera using multiple presses of the shutter release button in the software, the maximum rate I can get it to fire at is about a frame a second (estimated), rather than the 3fps the d40x is capable of. Is there any way to get the software to fire the camera any faster? I can certainly fire faster (but not 3fps) using the Nikon infra-red remote, so am wondering why this is slower?

As I'm trying to shoot moving objects with the camera located remotely on a pole, its fantastic to be able to set up the composition remotely. However, it's very difficult to judge when to fire the shutter as the object passes through the frame, so being able to shoot continuously as fast as possible for a few seconds would give me the best chance of nailing the optimum composition. Just wondering if there's any trick to being able to do this?

Thanks.

I'm really out of my depth with the 64bit thing - the documentation says that WIAAUT is *not* supported under 64bit, but some people say it DOES work for them. So no idea where to go with that one.

Sorry forgot to mention, the above Win 7 with the 5.2/D3000/Bridge CS4 is a 32-bit Home Premium.

Adriano, I think it most probably is a question of yours being a 64-bit. If there is a D80 out there working properly with a 32-bit 7, then that should confirm it. Haven't heard of one, though. Hope you get yours going eventually, this is truly a nice, nice app.
