No, you're shifting the blame onto your fellow consumers, instead of recognizing that we cardholders pay premium annual fees for the right to bring guests; it's a feature, not an exploit. If the lounges are overcrowded, it’s because the corporation greedily oversold access to maximize their profits without investing in the infrastructure to support it. Blaming other travelers just lets the credit card company off the hook for degrading a service they contractually promised us. Stop actively or passively shilling for them, please.

In reply to NickChurns🔗. So it seems like you have to deposit $1k+ wihtin 10 days, hold for 90 days, and do 25 trades. Assuming there are like $3 fees/losses per trade, you lose $75 just from that and $10 from holding the $1k. So $165. I am not sure if there is a limit on how many trades you can do a day with only a $1k balance. Seems like it may not be worth it for $165.

Like everyone else, my account is restricted/locked. Received no email. Saw the $1 I sent as a DD get returned (“Credit Entry Refused by Receiver”). Had already sent a $500 DD so I assume that will get returned too because the account does not exist. I will call tomorrow to look into it, since I also funded $500 with a credit card which has already settled, and I initiated an external transfer to withdraw $490 which will settle on the 9th. So if the DD gets returned and the $490 successfully is withdrawn, then I suppose that is good. But I am thinking that external transfer is going to fail. Now my hub account is going to get dinged for this. If the external transfer fails then hopefully they send a check for the initial funding instead of issuing a CC refund. What a joke. I hate these credit union promotions, half the time its just a massive mess.

They must have come in after the long weekend and just selected all and closed the accounts.

Credit One Bank’s hold time for funds pulled in from an external bank when initiating the pull at Credit One is excessive, in my opinion, especially considering Happen Bank formerly LendingClub Bank is 3 biz days, Chase is zero hold time, Customers Bank is zero hold time. CIT Bank is 5 biz days hold time. (End of random examples.)

Credit One is 7 biz days hold time, and yes I am aware interest would be earned during the hold time. If your ACH pull is initiated before the cutoff on Thursday or Friday, the normal maximum hold time is usually 11 calendar days, and if a bank holiday happens to occur inside the hold period, it can push that to 12 calendar days.

Of course, if you push money into Credit One from your external bank there is no hold time imposed by Credit One.
