Hi Dakota – Tripe residue sounds just lovely. Having just used the ground green tripe and more recently the dehydrated version as treats, we’re able to feed indoors just fine without any mess thank goodness. They just eat it up like any other food – but I can imagine whole fresh pieces getting flung about with head shakes – that would not be fun.

On a side note, I had actually just finished working on a follow-up post on green tripe, and then come across your comment – great minds think alike. But I’m hearing the theme from The Twilight Zone…

Hi Elizabeth – just happened upon your site. We now carry ‘whole green tripe’ at True Carnivores. It’s an outdoors feeding activity. I once (only once!) tried feeding it in the kitchen…my dogs picked it up in their front teeth and promptly shook it! Needless to say, I had tripe residue all over the kitchen floor and on some of the walls. Bletch.
But it sure cleans their teeth and helps with digestion! I find that dogs that eat ‘poop’ (looking for digestive enzymes) will give that horrible habit up when served raw tripe.

Since Paget will be on most episodes I’ll watch until she is gone. After that Criminal Minds can take a nose dive for all I care. I hope AJ finds something better, or maybe someone smart will grab her and Paget, maybe steal Vangness and make another sort of CM. Make it HBO or showtime! All the great shows on other channels will soon hopefully make CBS, NBC, and ABC obsolete!

forcing animals to smoke seems more insane ,when you consider that it is being done to support a population of people who are NOT being forced to ruin their health[and that of others]—it is THEIR OWN choice .

It’s obvious from the pictures that these horrible tests were conducted on animals. I would hope that this testing would have stopped by now. But, I would not be surprised if it is still happening. Do you have evidence that this kind of testing is still being conducted by the tobacco industry?

Very well said, Elizabeth. Your writing and assessment are excellent.

As for “Two and Half Men”, it was funny in the beginning and the actors are good, except for Charlie Sheen who always seems to be walking through the part, playing himself. Don’t know how his agents got that kind of increase, unless they pointed out that his notoriety would bring in more viewers. Wrong! I think people have gotten tired of Charlie’s shenanigans.

I used to prefer CBS programming, but they do make some wrong decisions where their audience is concerned. In particular their Friday night programming always suffered the most and yet had some of the very best programs. But they rarely lasted more than one season. When excellent and popular programs were moved to Friday from Tuesday, like JAG, you knew it was on the way out.

Truly hope that Criminal Minds will retain all of their cast members as they interact beautifully. It is one of the best ensemble casts I’ve seen in years. Outstanding!

Your comment regarding the fat in chocolate is true according to the head of cardiology at my local hospital. Fat in chocolate is neutal. Your readers might also like to see the newer facts regarding fat in beef. I’ve been told that beef fat is also neutal in the body.

If the tobacco company executives want to know more about the effects of smoking, I suggest that they hook their pregnant wives and themselves up to these machines for 10 hours a day. I suspect they would quickly decide that they had enough information and stop testing.
This is without a doubt the most disgustingly cruel and stupid ‘research’ study I’ve ever heard of.

I totally agree. LAW & ORDER was a landmark show and barely got a goodbye. There was the scene in the end with the cast at the bar and they resolved the storyline of Van Buren’s cancer and got to say goodbye, but the surprise cancellation left the show feeling empty even to the writers. Very sad
