Glad to see you back, Mike! Better and stronger as always!
If you intend to make a message board, you could split it into parts, too. I don’t know, maybe Gaming treads, Final Fantasy in general, Movies, Litterature, Others…

It would sort it better than just random stuff thrown everywhere…

It’ll be on and off for a while this month, but April should bring good things. I’ve been working a bit on the new design. Things are looking good so far.

To be honest, I hadn’t even realized that. It’s a good idea, though, but trying to make a new site and pull off an April Fool’s joke is a bit beyond me at the moment.

Thanks, guys!

You know, I have both an English and a Japanese copy of Kingdom Hearts around here. Didn’t they make a sequel as well? I’ll have to break those out. My daughter loves Disney. I never realized they were so kid friendly.

That’s actually another reason why I’d like to widen the scope of this blog. It’d be cool to break off and play a game like that for a change, and write about it in much the same way I’ve done with Final Fantasy. I’d wanted to do that with gaming tales, but the execution was a bit off. I think combining everything into one place will make things easier and better.

At this point, I’m pretty sure I’ll go ahead with this idea. I’m going to start working on the new site this week. Right now there are two goals: have the new site up and running, and resuming Final Fantasy V. I’m aiming for April 1.

Those are good ideas there Mike, if it would make life easier, I’d definitely suggesting going ahead with them. They seem like excellent ideas to me, anyway.

Well, good to have you finally talk here again, those are understandable reasons for the absence, and I’m glad to see you’re alive and well!

That would be cool too, but don’t overwork yourself. Sometimes thinking too far ahead can make you lose focus of the current goal (okay, that’s not entirely true, but I felt like spillin’ out some “wise-” sounding mumbojumbo).

Also, started reading a couple of earlier posts on that other blog you just introduced us to today. Judging from the first few posts, your children are now around eight and five. I do remember you saying that you and your son enjoyed playing Poke’mon games together a while back, so I thought you guys might also like Kingdom Hearts. If you haven’t heard of it, it’s a game made by Square that combined some Final Fantasy aspects (and a few characters from later on in the series) and characters and storylines from the Disney cartoons. It’s an action game (rated E), and throughout most of the game you have classics like Donald Duck and Goofy by your side. Heck, you even wind up joining forces with the likes of Tarzan and The Beast from Beauty And The Beast! I first played it when I was ten and I loved it. You guys might also enjoy it, if you’re a Disney fan like myself.

Cool, Drake. Glad you like the idea, and thanks for the feedback. I’m going to keep thinking on it over the weekend a bit more. If it still seems to make sense then I’m going to start the redesign of Subtle Fun.

I bought a suite of WordPress templates to use for some other projects and can use one of them for the redesign as well.

Ideally, if the readership ever seems to warrant it, I think it makes sense to consider adding a Forum and/or some more reader-participation events.
