found a solution: s3 not being recognized on windows 7 computer, when i plug in the phone to the computer i hear windows sound that device is connected and i see on the phone that it is connected but no icon comes up: (make sure you have no open programs you are working on because you will have to reboot the computer and lose any info you were working on) go to start button, control panel, system, device manager, all the way on the bottom universal serial bus controllers start removing all the usb controllers right click each one and uninstall but be advised that it removes the mouse and keyboard!! if it removes the mouse just use the keyboard up or down arrows then use the right click options on the keyboard (the button between the crtl and alt key on the bottom right on most keyboards) and start removing as many devices as possible the keyboard and mouse will stop responding (because you removed the usb driver from the computer) then hold down the power button and shut the computer, then turn on the computer by pushing the power button you will see all the usb drivers reload and you will get back the phone icon hope this helps Jay

About 13 years ago I was using DragStrip by Poppycock. It was discontinued I believe in 2008. This was the perfect way to organize the desktop. In multiple colors each strip your choice. Multiple dragstrips could be created to fill entire desktop, each dragstrip could fill entire desktop. One could name each one. They were displayed in small or larger tiles (basically folders) I would place each DragStrip into one folder to get them out of the way and when needed would open folder and make my selection of interest. My harddrive picked up a virus last month that wiped the drive, requiring restoration with new software from the manufacturer. I am no longer able to find replacement software because the originating company is out of business. It was relatively cheap; 10 to 15 dollars. No price is too much if I could find it or similar software again. Any ideas? Thanks,

a "workaround":
On Mouseover the image shows at the right bottom 2 options from googlemail where you can move the picture to a google drive folder.
Now you could create in GDrive a new folder named "to delete" and move the photo there.
Later you can delete some or all images and objects moved to your folder "to delete" :)

Right, it would be easier Google would implement the option to delete this at once and so archiving Email would be fine :)

Many many moons ago...
I worked for Wordperfect then Novell then Corel (as the WP software changed hands).
During my time at Novell, I was on the InfoCentral development team.
InfoCentral was an excellent product that was considered part of a consumer product line they were trying to build. They also purchased a excellent fax product. With InfoCentral and the Fax product they also entered a multi-year agreement with product developer to assist in further product development requests.
-
The entire product home product line was made up of apps purchased from small software development companies. - The worst of the lot was a set of games weren't that great to begin with and never caught on.
-
Anyway, InfoCentral was developed by a guy out of California whose company was called Jetson (Jetson Systems or Jetson Industries? - cant remember the full name.) The product ideas were all his and he had a remote developer who made most of our code change/update requests.
-
For a long time I kept a "dev team" signed/shrink-wrapped copy of InfoCentral (w/3.5" disks) but after it appeared that Corel would let it die I finally took it to a thrift store hoping someone could find a use for it on an old windows machine.
-
Every few years I search the web again hoping someone has resurrected the app or reinvented the information linking technology and interface. This happened to be one of those years, and yesterday I contacted Mike Koenecke to see if there was something I missed.
Sadly, it looks like another year without IC - AND my current Linux Web team uses Macbook Pro laptops exclusively - so I am really out of luck.
-
Kind Regards,
Doug Carroll
