I have the problem that when playing media (from plugins/media) it results in black screen... when this happens, the web interface says : connection to server lost... only restarting the raspberry pi resolves this issue.
Any idea?

I have to admit, I have tried the Rapberry Pi and did not enjoy it very much.
Using it primarily as a HTPC / media streamer, it was too slow and would not perform as I would want.
I have a Synology NAS with over 16TB of data so I wanted something with a little more grunt.
I ended up getting a NUC2820 HTPC, having XBMC on this is a dream and it is by far faster than any PI I have owned.
It also plays all the files I have, not encountered one file yet which it does, still early days but so far its really great.
Appreciate not everyones choice, but this is from my experiance.
