Hey Yall,

I'm noticing a lot of people looking for a walkthrough for Department 42: Mystery of the Nine.

I'm currently working on making one (unless someone get's one made first... hint, hint), but until then, you might want to check out the Department 42 Forum at BigFish Games. Lot's of information trickling in right now.

Here's the link: Department 42: Mystery of the Nine Forum.

Hope this helps for now!

Youda Legend: The Curse of the Amsterdam Diamond Walkthrough

INTRODUCTION

General Tips

    * There are a good variety of puzzles in the game, but you cannot skip them. Some of the puzzle solutions are random. If you get stuck in a puzzle, you can look for the solution in the walkthrough.

    * The game does not have a timer, so you do not have to worry about any time constraints.

    * You cannot use the hints system when you are in a puzzle scene. Just read the instructions at the beginning of each level to know what you have to do.

    * Your cursor will spin around wildly if you click randomly in the scene.

    * Each time you play the game, you will be given new items to look for. However, the puzzles will mostly be the same each time, but some of the final solutions may vary.

Your Trunk

    * Your trunk is located in the lower left side of the scene. It stores all of your inventory items.

    * To access the trunk, simply click on the icon in the lower left side. Once the trunk opens, you can look at all the items that are stored in there.

    * To close the trunk, simply click on any part of it and you will be returned to the scene you were working on.

    * The items in your trunk will only be used during the puzzle scenes; you will never need to use them in any of the Hidden Object searches.

    * While using your items during a puzzle scene, not all of the items in the trunk will need to be used. The game will automatically make available whatever you need for a particular puzzle.

Compass Hints/ Diamonds

    * You will find a compass in the very first scene you encounter in this game. Use the compass to help you locate hidden items in a scene.

    * You have unlimited hints with the compass, but you must wait for it to recharge before you can use it again.

    * Click on the compass when it is recharged, and it will form a circle around an item in the scene.

    * Since the circle is rather large, make sure that you click in the center of the circle to find the item you’re looking for.

    * The item the compass shows you is random, there’s no way to choose the item you need help locating.

    * If you want the hints to recharge faster, click on the diamonds that are scattered around the scene.

    * The diamonds also earn you extra points each time you find them.

    * There are plenty of diamonds throughout each scene. Look carefully around for them so you can increase your score in the game.

    * Your compass will not be activated during any of the puzzles.

Walkthrough

    * The walkthrough will give you the solutions, and explanations, for all the puzzles in the game.

    * Please keep in mind that some of the puzzle solutions are random. We’ve included alternate solutions whenever possible.

    * If you get stuck on a puzzle and you want to reset it, exit out of the game and you will start at the beginning of that puzzle. This will help you if you want to use one of the solutions in the walkthrough.

    * In the Hidden Object scenes, we’ve circled all the items that came up for us during play. Your results may vary.

CHAPTER ONE

Platform 3A
* Before you start looking for objects, click on the large red and gray compass that is on the right side of the platform.

    * Once you pick up the compass, it will go in the upper left corner of your page. You can use the compass to help you find objects.

    * The compass needs time to recharge, but you can activate it faster by collecting the tiny diamonds that are scattered in each scene.

    * Find the rest of the items in the scene.
Your Hotel Room
* The paper pieces are highlighted in green in the screenshot.

    * Everything else on the list is highlighted in purple.
Fix the Map
* In this puzzle all you have to do is drag the map pieces around until you can piece the puzzle back together.

    * You cannot rotate the puzzle pieces. Just place them around the outline of the board.

    * Map pieces will lock themselves in, once they are in the right place.

    * Please look at the screenshot for the solution.
Beneath the Bridge
* The three rings are highlighted in green in the screenshot.

    * The five stones in the scene are highlighted in yellow in the screenshot.

    * Everything else in the scene is highlighted in purple.
Mysterious Stones Puzzle
* In this puzzle you have to arrange all the stones correctly on the wall under the bridge.

    * Grab the stones from the left side of the scene and place them on the wall on the right side of the bridge.

    * Pay attention to the lines on the stones; use the lines as your guide for placing the stones.

    * Please look at the screenshot for the solution.

    * Once all the pieces are in the right place, some keys will appear on the scene, click on them to end the level.
Unlock the Door
* Your goal in this game is to click on the keys in the right sequence so you can unlock the door.

    * If you look on the right side of the wall, you will see some markings on the side of the door. Those markings show you the direction the keys need to be in to unlock the door.

    * The top key turns itself and the middle key.

    * The middle key turns all the keys in the same direction.

    * The bottom key turns itself and the middle key.

    * For the solution, number the keys from 1 to 3, starting at the top. The solution is random; it depends on the starting position for your keys. The screenshots shows you two different starting positions.

    * Click on the keys in the following order:

      First Solution: 1-1-1-2.
      Alternate Solution: 1-1-1-2-2-2.
* The six ropes are highlighted in green in the screenshot.

    * The two paintings are in yellow.

    * All the other items are highlighted in light blue.
Repair the Rope
* Your goal is to place the ropes on the left in the appropriate places in the scene.

    * Keep in mind that the shapes of the ropes on the left are a mirror image of the ropes in the scene. The shapes will change once they are on your cursor.

    * Grab the ropes from the left side of the page.

    * Drag the ropes to one of the empty spots in the scene.

    * Let go of the mouse when you find the right place.

    * The ropes will attach themselves to the right spots. If they do not stick to a spot, just keep dragging them around until you find the right place for it.

    * Once all the ropes are in place, the curtains will open. Click on the knife that appears behind the curtains.
* The three organ cards are highlighted in yellow in the screenshot.

    * The painting is highlighted in red in the screenshot.
* The goal in this puzzle is to press the buttons on the organ according to the diagrams on the cards.

    * The Roman numerals on the cards represent the numbers on the buttons.

    * When you see a long line next to the numbers, that button needs to be in the up position.

    * When the line next to the number is a short one, the button needs to be in the down position.

    * Each time you finish entering a set of numbers, the current card will disappear and a new one will appear.

    * Make sure that when you enter the numbers you are matching the correct color. The cards do not appear in the same order as the rows of numbers.

    * Your goal in this puzzle is to place the right amount of flowers in each bucket.

    * You have to pick the flowers whose numbers add up to the value stated on each bucket.

    * Each time you add a flower to a bucket, the total amount will be shown on the sign attached to the bucket.

    * If you make a mistake and you want to change the flower combination, simply click on the flower you want to take out. The amount of the flower you took out will be deducted from your total.

    * Here is the solution for this puzzle:

    * First Bucket: $1.22 +$1.67 + $1.99 = $4.88

    * This puzzle is divided into two parts. In the first part you have to assemble the pieces of paper. In the second part you have to decipher the code that appears above the puzzle.

    * Drag the scattered paper pieces onto the board.

    * When the right paper is in place, it will automatically lock into place.

    * Once the puzzle is complete, a series of numbers will show up on top of the page. Your goal at this point is to solve the mathematical equations.

    * If you look at the paper you assembled, there are three sets of numbers on it: 18, 56, and 5. If you look above the paper, there are three sets of equations to solve.

    * The first equation has to add up to the first number on the page. The middle equation has to add up the middle number on the page. The last equation has to add up to the last number on the page.

    * The solution is as follows:

      4 / 2 x 9 = 18
      8 x 7 = 56

    * You can see a faint silhouette of each key inside each spot in the cabinet. Look for the keys that match the shape and size of the outlines in each spot.

    * When certain keys are placed in the right spots, you will see a light shine on all the keys that are correct.

    * Pay attention to the keys that are being highlighted. Even though some keys may look like they are in the right place, they will not be right unless you see a light shining on them.

    * Before you start looking for objects, click on the large red and gray compass that is on the right side of the platform.

    * Once you pick up the compass, it will go in the upper left corner of your page. You can use the compass to help you find objects.

Mystic Diary: Lost Brother Walkthrough

Note: I have edited the original walkthrough from Big Fish Games Blog to make it a easier to navigate. Simply select the chapter that you are stuck on and it will display all of the hints for that level. Hope you enjoy! Vroya

    * There are 12 chapters in this game. Each chapter has various hidden object "Hotspots" with one puzzle somewhere within the level. After finishing the level, you will get an item to help you finish the game. Each chapter must be completed to move to the next chapter.

    * You may replay any levels that you have already finished.

    * In total there are 12 puzzles and 29 Hotspots.

    * There is no time limit or point system, so you can use a hint whenever you want. However, you have to wait one minute to use the next hint.

    * You can skip a puzzle one minute after you start.

GENERAL TIPS

    * In each area you may see single stars or multiple stars sparkling on the objects you need to find. A single star means the object is an inventory item or a puzzle item; multiple stars on an object signify a Hotspot.

    * Some times there are no stars (or clues) on where to use inventory items, but the cursor will change to a magnifying glass when the item or spot is important for passing the chapter.

    * Some inventory items need to be combined to make new items.

    * The first series of Hotspots in each level will show only the outlines of the objects you need to find.

    * The second series (after the puzzle) will only give you the name of the objects to find.

    * At the end of a chapter, you will receive a symbol. It is important to remember or write down the symbols because in the final puzzle you will need to line them up in the order they were found.

THE MESSAGE – PAGES 1 & 2
THE STUDY

    * At first, you can only find three inventory items and two hidden object spots.

    * The inventory items are gasoline, a burner, and a hammer.

    * The first Hotspot is located towards the middle of the screen on top of the table.

    * The second Hotspot is on the right side of the screen, inside the shelf.

    * Add the Gasoline to the burner in your inventory to fill it up.

    * After finding the two parts of the key, put them in the vice that is on top of the big office desk. This is the first step in fixing the key.

    * Next, you should use the filed burner to fix the key completely.

    * The fixed key is now available to open the safe box that is beside the big office desk.

    * After opening the safe box, you will need to find a missing stone. The stone is in the upper right of the screen; use the last inventory item (the hammer) to take out the stone.

    * Use the stone from your inventory item list to start the final puzzle.

    * The symbols on the disks must match the symbols on all of the neighboring disks. The disks cannot be turned.

    * See the screenshot for the final solution.

Special Thanks to Big Fish Games Blog for this detailed walkthrough!

Each chapter has various hidden object “Hotspots” with one puzzle somewhere within the level.

    * When you click the upper left disk, all the disks turn, except the lower right disk.

    * When you click the bottom left disk, the diagonally opposite disk turns.

    * When you click the bottom right disk, only that disk turns.

    * The easiest way to finish this puzzle is to first put the upper right disk in the correct position.

    * Next, put the upper left disk in the correct position.

    * Next, put the bottom left disk in the correct position; this will turn the first disk to the wrong position.

    * Return the upper right disk to the correct position. After this, continue counter clockwise to the top left, and then the bottom right disks. Doing this will return the lower right disk to the correct position and complete the puzzle.

Sorry you didn't care too much for Affair Bureau, HOGLover, but thanks for telling us about it.

Tell you what, I've still got a few free game credits to give away so I'm gonna send you one so you can find another one you like - maybe "Hidden in Time - Mirror Mirror" or any other you want from this page.

Make sure you do the trial downloads first, so you won't get stuck with a game you don't like. In the meantime - enjoy your free game!

Affair Bureau is a dark "film-noir" detective game. As a hidden object mystery game lover, I was quite excited when I first saw it, but actually playing it was a bit of a disappointment.

When I say dark, I'm not talking about the storyline. The scenes are poorly lit, which in a detective story kinda makes sense - after all sneaking around in houses and offices in the dead of night should be dark, but it does make it a little difficult to find the objects in your list. Also, the lists rarely make sense to the story. Seriously, how many detectives really care if there is a rubber duck, rabbit, or paperclip in the laboratory or office. Nah, they should be looking for documents, pictures, guns, bombs, or even clothing articles or fingerprints on glasses or the like. While there is a hint system that recharges over time, and the objects are clear (not blurry or pixellated), the darkness of the screen kept me squinting to find them - very tiring indeed.

The story is OK, as far as most HOG games go, but it really wasn't appealing enough for me to play too far into the game. There is no voice-over for their lines, so you have to continually click through a lot of dialog. The music was OK for the first 15 minutes, but got really repetitive along the way. Truthfully, I only played about half an hour into it before I was simply too bored to continue on.

Although I probably will finish the game (addict that I am), it's not on my list of recommendations to anyone who is not seriously addicted to hidden object or seek and find games.

Sorry, I just wasn't too impressed. First timers should probably stick with some of the classics like the Mystery Case Files series if they want a good mystery hidden object game.

Good to hear from you Frog.

Thanks for reviewing Fishing Craze for me! I was just wondering earlier today if anyone was gonna submit any reviews again.

Tell you what, since you are the first reviewer this month (and a nice review at that), I'm gonna have you check your e-mail tonight - there's a little surprise there for you. Yes Frog, you can have the game for free.

Ain't I so nice???

PS... I'm half surprised you didn't chose "Frogs in Love" :-D

Well, I decided to take a break from my normal dash games for something a bit more relaxing for a change. After all fishing is supposed to be calm and relaxing - right? I should have looked at the "Craze" in Fishing Craze. Nobody in their right mind would ever dip their poles in piranha and electric eel infested waters with pelicans hovering about trying to steal your catch. But, it was a blast!

Fishing Craze is super simple to play. Just use your mouse to move your boat back and forth, and click to drop your line. Hopefully you will catch one (or more!) good fishies, and not touch an electric eel or other evil nasties. When that happens, you'll not only get a good laugh at the funny animation, but you lose time too, and since every level is timed, you need every second to catch the right amount of fish.

Always watch out for bubbles coming up with numbers, make sure your boat touches them as they come up and you will get tokens - good for buying lures and upgrading your boat so you can fish longer without unloading at the dock. Lures are really needed - if you don't have a high enough level lure, you can't catch the good fish.

Fishing Craze surprised me. I normally only play dash games, and really didn't think I'd like it, but I really did. Everything was just plain fun, from the music, to the cartoon graphics - it was almost like playing a cartoon character on TV. I'd let my boys play it as it isn't a violent game - and girls (me!) should probably like it too. It starts out easy, but builds up to a real challenge. I've only played some of the "Amateur" Circuit, but there is a Pro and Master Circuit too. I can't wait to play it all the way through. I think anyone who likes fast paced games will like Fishing Craze.

My only problem is I ran out of time and can't play any more, and really want to. Vroya, I'm beggin here - could I get another of your free game coupons? I tried to write good... Please, please, please...

A number of people have been searching for walkthroughs for Echo: Secret of the Lost Cavern. I've been extraordinarily busy, so for now I'll have to refer you to the best one I've found on the web. I'll have my own up soon.

I would love to be more like Gamezebo, but I simply do not have the time sometimes.

Maybe it's just me, but Mean Girls misses the mark. Perhaps it's because it's geared toward tween girls, and I don't fall into that category. Personally, I think it's just too much story, and too little action. The match 3 board is horribly simplistic, and the story line itself too "girlie" for me to bear. Audio is initially great, but repetitive in the extreme.

Highly recommend nobody purchase this game outright - do the free download first.

If you do like Mean Girls: High School Showdown, please leave a review for me to post above. With this type of game I occassionally feel like my bad review would be too unfair. Do a good job of reviewing it and I'll put you into this month's free game contest. There's a good chance you'll win as I plan on giving away at least 2 games this month (If I can get more than one review submitted).

Thanks for your game review Frog! I haven't had a chance to play yet - been too busy lately. I might just have to try it out later.

Thanks again, I'll be featuring your review shortly, and put you in the running for the free game contest.

Just a note to everyone: I really need help with reviews. In fact, I'm willing to give away more than just one game this month. Review any game on GameBlog, and you're entered to win any game that BigFish offers. I've got lots of unlock codes just waiting to be given away! So play a game today and write about it! You could get one free - a twenty dollar value!

So Cool - So Funky!!

Funky Farm is SWEET!! It's really easy to play, but also challenges you too, especially when you don't play the untimed mode.

You run your farm by clicking on the bubbles on the bottom of the screen that keep going by and place them in the farm. If you have pigs, you have to feed them by giving them slop, but you have to clean up after them too. When they get fat enough, you want to use a cleaver on them for meat, but don't do that too soon, or you won't get much money from them.

Chickens give good steady money, but you'll end up clicking forever on the screen. And sheep give you good money too - but you want to wait to shear them, cuz the longer you wait, the more money you will make.

At the end of the round, you have to make a decision, do you want to round up your animals (by name) and earn bonus bucks - good bonuses if you have a lot of animals. Or do you want to continue to collect money in the farm. Sometimes is a real hard choice, but if you have a lot of critters rounding them up is best.

At the end of the day (round) you get to buy funky stuff for your animals. You get to get crazy things like mohawk hairdos, top hats, sunglasses, and even afros for your animals. It's funny watching a chicken with a rainbow mohawk strutting around.

Funky Farm is a really fun time management game that is really worth getting. Even after you finish all the levels, you can still play the untimed mode forever and make lots of money and buy up all the accessories. I really loved it.
