Hi Natasha! I tend to find that with smudged pencil it is best to try to apply it thinly and then carefully add a bit of powder or shadow over it to set it. Using eyeshadow can both set the pencil and add a bit of extra color to it. If you get a press brush, which has a thin flat surface, you can easily press the sahdow onto the liner.

Hi Sophia! You might be interested in The 30 Days of Beauty series we are running this month on our sister site, Beauty and Fashion Tech. It will be covering a lot on makeup basics starting pretty soon and then on through the end of the month. Here is the link to the category page for it: http://www.beautyandfashiontech.com/30-days-of-beauty. A new post goes up each day on a specific beauty topic. For a good basic makeup set to cover most situations, I recommend a light foundation, concealer, powder, blush, a few basic neutral eyeshadows, mascara, a neutral eyeliner (go for brown, not black), lipstick and lip gloss. Maybe add bronzer in place of blush sometimes and over time add some brighter colored eyeshadows for fun occasions. A couple of good overall budget brands are Milani (especially for shadow, blush, and mascara), Wet and Wild (especially for eyeshadow and they have some nice palettes/sets), and NYX. Those all tend to to offer quality for less money. Wet and Wild is particularly affordable. For great foundation and lip products, I really like Sally Hansen Natural Beauty and L'Oreal (although avoid L'Oreal's roller foundation). L'Oreal is on the pricier end of the drugstore brands though.

I am a freshman in college and I really want to get good and applying makeup. I have blonde hair, blue eyes, and not completely tan...but not completely white skin.

First question, what different types of makeup do I need to apply? (Ex: Blush, bronzer, eye liner, concelear, lipstick)
Second question, what is the best brand to use? I'm of course on a budget, so cheap? lol

Thank you so much!!!
