I absolutely LOVED Shona Husk’s Dark Vow.

At 65K words it’s shockingly stout in story but not obnoxiously long. I think I read it in a night and I never do that. It’s fantasy but a bit of a genre bender. If you have time to read my review there I kind of explain it. I’ve never read anything like it and kind of hope not to again just so it can remain as special as I found it.

You might like The Fallen Queen by Jane Kindred too. It’s another tough one to sell that blends fantasy with something else that works so well. It wasn’t a favorite of me personally, but the world building was phenominal.

Every town needs a drunk right? Why shouldn’t every blog get one too. lol

Now that I am very sober I’ll try and get my butt in gear with that SASE.

Through the haze of Friday celebrating Mudslide drinking fog I’m in I think I get the eggs and baskets metaphor. lol The publishing world gets scarier and scarier everytime I read something like this. But is it nuts I got psyched when I read robot mermaids?

I still haven’t got my hands on the original trading cards. *has a sulk* Where are the A Sliver of Shadow ones? I must have them. I have this thing called a credit card I have abused of late. Perhaps it can be abused in the name of trading cards?

*wanders out of drunken haze* Oh see they have their own page. If I send a SASE your way I don’t suppose I could get both sets could I? Purty please? OMG I’m going to leave you alone now before I make more of an ass of myself tonight. *facepalm*
