Oh hey! I am happy to see that somebody is looking into is except for the person who asked me for the list. :)

Actually this post also appeared on Animeblogger Antenna, but I am not sure how many people in the world are still using it really, heh.

Switch is a must read! (Or so I think, I really haven't read it for years.) "Magic Knight Rayearth" is great for any Clamp fan, although their art was less beautiful at the time. It's very light-hearted with your usual Clamp-ish plot twists, so I hope you will like it! As for me, I have nostalgic feelings towards it, and so I don't think I can really comment on it, or even compare it to other works.

Anyways, let me know how you liked them!

Damn, this post went completely unnoticed by me (whatever RSS feed I had was dead, but hello). I think I'll be returning to this list in the future, and your annotations are nice to go by. ^ ^

For now I'll glean your recommendations on Rayearth and Switch. I'd seen Rayearth in the library before, and noticed it was Clamp, but never took an inclination towards it.

Thanks, and cheers!

@animekritik: Yeah, Kare Kano is a great example to start with. Very light-hearted (at least at first), relatively modern but rooted in good storytelling. I hope you will like it!

@Shii: Hahaha, well it seems like Houkago Hokenshitsu is available now, and supposedly also has a good ending. Maybe one of these days I will make myself read it, just like Ressentiment XD
I also can't believe you forgot Kodomo no Omocha! It's so so so awesome that it's strange why Miho Obana has never released another series of such quality. I also should mention that the series is probably better than the majority of the others in the list there.

How could I forget Kodomo no Omocha in my mail? Seriously, how could I? Best Ribbon manga ever! And I still have a secret crush on Sana! XXD
I'm surprised you didn't read Houkago Hokenshitsu any further - actually, me neither, but the end was quite good indeed!

And you've been recommending Switch to me for years. I should finally give it a try.

@animekritik: Kare Kano is, of course, the best choice! At least for me it was incredibly addictive too, so even the length of the series shouldn't bother.

This is awesome, Sasa, thanks!!

It's good that everyone will be able to look at it and use it. I imagine many would like to modify or add to the list as well. I think I can probably tackle Kare Kano first...since it's at the top of the list and Anno worked on it too :)

I've been recommended Basara many times too... Maybe later.

Thanks again!!

Kagami is my favorite too. She's the only one that had sad scene's I think. Like when they were looking for their names to see if they got the same class, and she didn't have any with them. But she's actually really funny ;P

Kamichu is one of my favorite series, too.
Miko-chan was warming up to Shoukichi by the end. She even gave him special giri-choko on Valentine's Day. After all, a crush on the village god can only go so far. I think Miko-chan and Shou-kun will start dating by next year. He'll have to be a little bolder and more honest, though. I'd like to see another season.
