She’s attempting to do what 13 council people, 3 mayors, and 1 assemblyman could not do! The council and mayor have 1 supreme task - passing a budget every year. In my opinion, their salaries should be cut to fund Tripodi’s as she’s doing their job.

I DO watch the BOE meetings and though I do not have a particular choice within the district for the superintendency position, I feel that there is someone who can and will be able to handle the position. KF will choose whomever they feel is the appropriate candidate, so I will sit back and watch and wait to see if their candidate does what they expect, meanwhile watching the new “machine” revert to old-time politics. The process has begun, Mr. Lenz (former president of BOE) is now 4th ward council representative (a loyal DZ supporter), as well as many other supporters that were given key positions because of their support. The process is still the same, different names different faces. Do you see a pattern here?

Audits (then and up until last year)revealed horrendous accounting and educationally immoral practices,(administrators taking money from the student activites funds, is just one such recent finding). I totally agree with you regarding the delay in letting Carter gain control. That was an “open and shut” legal issue that the board had no control over. That, again, was all Jack’s doing. His untimely departure was referencing Jack giving 2 weeks notice before beginning his new job, thus leaving the district facing tremendous obstacles with no vision for September. More notice would have been appropriate. But then again-everything Raslowski did was inappropriate.

I went to Room 84 last night and KellBell I’m not sure if you went to the same place as I did. I was a bit leery b/c I remember what the place used to be, but I was willing to be open minded and give it a shot. And hey who could resist an open bar. I for one was delighted that I didn’t see any type of ghetto crowd or punks. It was actually nice to see the doormen/bouncers let my friend know he wasn’t dressed up enough. It made me and his girlfriend laugh b/c he had to go home and put on dress shoes and a collared shirt. That should deter a younger or rowdy crowd in the future which is nice to see.

As far as DJ’s, I’m not sure who told you that Ralph was the DJ b/c I spoke to a manager (can’t remember his name but he seemed nice) and the DJ’s name wasn’t Ralph or anything close to that?? My date and I even got introduced to the DJ b/c I wanted to see the set-up. They said that the DJ was brought in from out of town, which we thought was cool. The manager also said that they rotate different DJ’s all the time so the music won’t get stale and to keep it exciting.

KellBell I think it’s too early to judge the place b/c it needs to find itself and weed out all the pre-existing clientele before it can move forward. After reading your post it seems very obvious that you know the guys who run/own the place and have some sort of problem with them. It’s hard to take your comments serious b/c everything you’ve written was the opposite of what my friends and I experienced.

I give the decor and sound system a thumbs up. The only negative was that the music was a bit loud and the bartenders couldn’t hear me well enough which made ordering at the bar a bit hard. Other than that it’s nice to see something new and different in Hoboken besides irish bars. LOL.

The girls they hang out with are nasty and The DJ is this guy Ralph and he is so obnoctious. He tells everyone he’s part owner which is a lie. The only person that seems normal is the new manager which I don’t think he will last long in a place like that. Anyway, I think this place will be busy for the first month and then die down again. Who wants to hang out with a bunch of ghetto people in hoboken? For that you can go to jersey city…lol

I came to the debate pretty neutral and I didn’t think Cammarano supporters were that unruly. Sure, they cheered a few times when Peter “slammed” Dawn and Bob had to calm them down, but nothing too bad.
