After I sent out an email reminding people that their startup fee for their business is a tax deduction TWO people upgraded to become distributors with me. So it definitely works!

I did not make the rules. Google did. When Google sent me the coupons they said they were only for new accounts in the US & Canada. I have a lot of friends internationally that could use them but unfortunately Google set the rules.

The adwords coupons are only good for new Google Adwords subscribers in the US & Canada.

Google put that limitation on the new accounts. Sorry.

There are some adwords coupons left but unfortunately Google only allows them to be used by people in the USA & Canada. I can see from your ip address that you wouldn’t be able to use them.

Thanks for your reply.

People don’t need to know how to market online to succeed. Businesses succeeded for thousands of years without knowing how to market online

Certainly in today’s age knowing how to market online helps, but it isn’t a requirement. For example Jay who shared the article with us is a realtor. Many realtors don’t know how to market online yet they are still successful.

In my business I’d rather take someone with focus and commitment to succeed and train him on the internet stuff… than take someone who has internet skills already buy is lazy and unfocused.

Thanks for responding.

I doubt anyone has all of those characteristics. I merely shared them with you to give you an idea of qualities to look for in people.

As far as how can this be applied to a recruitment exercise, you can start by looking for places where you can find people who share these qualities are.

What kind of magazines or newspapers might these people read? What kind of web sites might they visit?

If you could find a newspaper or magazine that attracted that kind of person, perhaps it would be a good place to advertise?

Sometimes we go out and speak to our friends, but our friends are not qualified prospects. If my friend has never had a business… if my friend has never made a 6 or 7 figure income… then perhaps they aren’t the best person to speak to about my opporunity. Instead I want to look for people who have had businesses before. People who have been successful before. People who know what it takes to build a successful business or bounce back from a failed business.

Does that make sense?

These are some great tips. Unfortunately, most network marketers never learn these things from their upline.

In addition to these things, it’s also important to look professional. Many people simple dress like slugs. Very few business people will want to do business with someone who doesn’t look like a business person.

BTW, this was my first time on your blog. I found you on the top 50 MLM blog list. Now I know why you made the list, Ben. Good job.

What other “closing” questions do you use?

I have a friend that says “Wasn’t that cool?” after they watch the presentation.

Personally I don’t like that one because it is a yes/no question. They could say no and shoot me down entirely.
