Thanks, Mark, for the compliment and the heads up. I fixed the email field. It was too wide so it dropped below the previous div.

Looking really neat and organized! The email field just looks skewed to the right for me right now. Dunno if that's due to Firefox.

Congrats on the D5000 and the 35mm! How does the 35mm compare with the 50mm? I find the 50mm a little too close at times, especially in confined spaces. I wonder if I should get a 35mm or a 105mm VR. Both would be great for portraits but the way they need to be handled would be so different!

Lol we started off identically (except I had a D40x)! Progressed from a 18-55 to the sigma 18-200, then a manual focus 50mm... Now I have my 35mm on a new D5000 body. Should have kept the D40x as a back up though!

Belgariad got me hooked on fantasy too! Before I started reading Belgariad, I was addicted to science fiction. My friend passed me Prawn of Prophecy and I got hooked.

Thanks, Mark. For Nikon users, this is a good time to buy. The initial release hype has died down, and in turn the price as well. The camera has been proven to be a solid model and will last for the next 2 years at least.

I"m still contemplating a 105mm macro lens since it'll be great for macro shots and it produces stunning portraits too. But given the price, I might have to settle for extension tubes.

You have a good camera! I don't think you'll need to upgrade anytime soon. Especially when you're churning out great photos with it. ^^

No Jenxi, I have not taken any lessons from either before, because of time constraint. Learning them the hard way through trial & error.
