I found a bug report with the solution for this problem:

You have to install the package python-gdata to get it work.
It would be good to create a dependencie to this package in the installer.

That’s funny; I’ve just had this problem with my machine. Evolution draws some of its GUI and then waits forever. When I launch Evolution a second time, the terminal prints “Killing evolution-data-server” and then both instances load up properly.

I don’t reboot my machine, I just suspend it all the time. I keep forgetting that I need to reboot it this time to fix the problem, so every time I sit in front of my computer and try to check my e-mails I need to hit the button twice.

Evidentemente non mi ero accorto che klades l’aveva gia chiusa….

Guarda che di certo non c’era stato un secondo fine è solo che il regolamento parlava chiaro, anche io sono stato chiuso varie volte poichè parlavo di versioni beta..

Ho trovato questo post per caso..
