John,
Troy Buchanan here. I had a couple of classes at IUS with you.
I was shocked to hear your name on the news, and even more shocked to hear what had happened.
I’m glad to hear (read) you’re on the mend. I hope you continue on your way to a speedy recovery.
As far as what to call the "incident"; here’s my two cents worth…
You should call it something as meaningless and random as the event itself. Maybe call it "attending the inauguration", or "kissing a light socket". Even more far-out, give it a name like "Reginald Q. Poteet". When discussing the incident you could say "Yeah, when Reginald Q. Poteet came to visit…".
Psychotic? Yes. but I’ve never been accused of playing with a full deck.
