Wow thanks for the reply ^^

Hmff~~ seems like SHS is suits me better since i'll turn 30 in fews month >.<

SPF, i don't really like to use it but i know its an important item. Sometimes they're too white, too thick, too oily and don't feel comfy on my skin.

With lots of brands which have their best SPF, will make people confuse to choose, ne ^^!
Whoo , SHS , Laneige or OHUI?
will you recommend the nicer one for me?

Thanks

Welcome, Jeanne! :)

I used to sell the Laneige Star White series and it was very popular. I am not sure about the new series (White Plus Renew) but it is supposed to be an upgrade. If you are under 30 you can still use Laneige; but if you have drier skin and over 25 then you may benefit more from using Snowise by Sulwhasoo. I do recommend using samples first because the products are so costly! It would be sad to break the bank and the products don't work or irritate your skin.

For dark spots my personal experience is that they do come back very easily, so a high SPF is a must (minimum: SPF30 PA+++) even if you sit indoors all day. I wasn't careful after using The History of Whoo's Seol line which really faded away most of my freckles, but over the summer I was outdoor all day and didn't reapply the sunscreen and the freckles came back very easily. The Seol line was the most effective products I had used against freckles (the causes of freckles are not the same as post-acne scarring by the way). If you have it in your budget you can try a sample set of Seol and see if it works; the only problem is that Seol is not hydrating enough for dry skin so you will need to load up moisturizer at night to seal in the moisture.

If your skin darkens easily, a sunblock that's waterproof, sweatproof with SPF30 PA+++ and above will do. But if you are exposed under the sun for a few hours, do reapply even if you aren't swimming or sweating.

Don't be shy and do come back! =)

Hi Linh,

My apologies! I don't know why some comments get caught up in my spam filters. I haven't been too active on the blog so I didn't check for a while!

For pregnancies - I had used these during mine too. As long as the products do not contain Retinol it's ok. But if you don't feel comfortable using them of course you can stop at your own discretion. To my knowledge none of these would pose any harm to the baby.

Sunscreens are essential. A minimium of SPF30 is recommended even if you are indoors all day. Otherwise you will have premature skin aging that shows up as wrinkles and fine lines. Your lines on your forehead could be just dehydration lines which I have also. Unfortunately not much you can do about the dark circles if they are hereditary. I have yet to use anything that works on my non hereditary dark circles that came after I had my baby (raising the child is even harder lol)

I believe IOPE has better sunscreens than Laneige. Laneige is better suited for 18-25 age group; I have used several of IOPE's sunscreens and really enjoyed them.

The products you are using are great - but if you have any sensitivities just try using one new product at a time for a few days to let your skin adjust to it first before introducing more to your regimen.

Best of luck on your skin and having a baby! :)

Very true - the hype seems to have died down as US had their shares of tragedies these days.

I find it harder to get su:m37 products on eBay. Everybody is selling just the samples and the full size products seem to have a very high markup! I do envy you to get to go there :)

Hi Joseibi,
Let's just say i'm your new follower ^^
and read lots of your reviews just in a day. i love your blog and glad that you would shares all your information about skin care here.

I have a problem, and brave myself to ask you *shy*

I have a dry skin, uneven skin tone and dark spot, after i used Laneige Star White series, my skin tone became bright and soft (it's brighten dark spots in my cheek too).
because of Laneige store was closed (dunno why), i stopped using it as well.

And I'd tried The Face Shop White Tree Snow Essence once, but my skin became sadly dry than before, It's peel off around my nose tip.

I'm glad i found Etude Moistfull Collagen, yeah never thought Etude can help my problem, and miraculously my skin not peel off anymore.

Now, I'm trying to use Sulwhashoo Snowise Set, yet i bought the travel set to try it first before to buy a full set.

But lately, i found Gmarket and there's a seller who sell Laneige product ^^. I really want to use Laneige back.

Joseibi-san, what do you think of this Laneige White Plus Renew Skin Line?
Do you kinow any product that can help my problem with dark spot?

I love whiten or brighten skin care product ^^, cos i travel a lot and my skin is easily became dark >.<

Needs you help

Hi joseibi,

I found your site and found it so helpful. I posted a comment but seem it didn’t appear in your blog .

I am currently using some products of Sulwhasoo and really them. At the moment I use the basic line products. But I want to have a baby soon and I don’t know whether I still can use skincare and make up products

It is grateful if you can give me some advices about this. My skin is quite dry since I turned 30 and I really need a lot of care for my face and lips. During winter I have a lot of flakes on my face and lips. I have also some fine line on my forehead and dark circle around my eyes.

Im using now

 Herbal soap,
Essential balance water, balancing emulsion, first care serum,
 Essential Revitalizing Serum,
 Essential Firming Cream
Essential Rejuvenating Eye Cream/Concentrated Ginseng Renewing Eye Cream ,
 lumitouch lips care
Clarifying Mask and Overnight Vitalizing Mask
Snowwise Brightening BB cream, lumitouch base

I just bought Laneigne Sun block and lips treatment to try

What do you think about these products? And is it safe to use those during pregnancy? Could you give me some advice about sun block product ? I didn’t use sunblock often and seem like my face has more brown spots. Im living in Europe

Thank you very much in advance! ^^

Hahaha, Joseibi, I am taking a ferry next weekend over the long weekend to Busan(from Fukuoka)....well, technically, the North always uses such threats to ask for more aid to their ailing and malnourished population, so I would not take much credit in the false flag tales created by American media to distract its people from some other issues. Media always loves to hype up stuff like this for the most part. As far as I know, life in South Korea still goes on as usual. By the way, I noticed that the new Su:M 37 Skin Regenerating serum was selling for the same price as a single bottle, but comes along with a large sample size of the cream as well(25ml) and small samples of other stuff in the same box at the Lotte Duty Free counter in Samseong COEX Mall....I can totally imagine you getting hooked lol.......I have actually been switching over to LG cosmetics and find that they are really great for my dehydrated skin.
