FINALLY! After so many (at least 30) years of hearing this song in my head, I finally get to see this cartoon. I have often quoted the song, or thought about it in my head, especially when I see a mess around the house! I felt like a kid again watching this video. Thank you for posting this cherished memory for all of us to enjoy again.

Thank you so much! I loved this show when I was a kid. I woke up thinking about it this morning and I having been searching for it off and on for years. I did not know it was local. I watched from Snohomish. :) Thanks for all the info, and glad to know I'm not the only one that remembers and loved this show.

Hello,
I was so surprised to see this book again!. I loaned mine to someone and never got it back. I loved making the cakes for my children and now they want me to make them for their children. Can I get a copy of this book somewhere?
 Thank you

The bunny with the face and bow is the easiest. I use the cherry Supereme for my granddaughters birthday (April 5th) she is 2 yr old. Also Choc. makes a great cake as the Great Easter Chocolate bunny.

I was driving home with my mom after we had just been at the store. I was sitting in the back seat while carrying an evil ventriloquist dummy named Slappy in my arms. While halfway home, I tried tossing Slappy out the car window, but he held onto the side of the car and climbed back in angrily. I begged him to forgive me and told him I was sorry. Then, when I got home, I locked him in my moms car and ran up on our porch and pointed and laughed at him while he stared at me in anger from the back seat window. Then, while I was laughing, he turned into a twinkling star, flew into my ass, turned back into his normal self, and said "IT'S SUPPEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEERRRRRR TIIIIIIIIIIIIME" in a very evil and sinister voice. He then began to devour all of the shit in my ass while making a "RARARARARARARARARARARARA" sound. This tickled my ass so much that I ran off the porch and began rubbing dirt in my face, which didn't help anyway. Then, I woke up, and still haven't forgotten the tickle that was inflicted upon my ass.

Don't make the same mistake that I did by locking Slappy in a car, running up on a porch, and then proceeding to point and laugh at him. super bootyasscheeks jones of bootyassiousness ultimatum

Thank you, thank you, thank you for naming this craft! You saved me from hours of Google search. My daughter was gifted with one of these and we lost the directions. My suggestion for your plastic bits is to use an old canning jar lid (the band, not the actual lid) as your frame. Might do that myself with our leftovers! :)

Back in the 1967-68 school year, when I was in third grade, I remember this cartoon appearing in an educational circular the teacher would pass out each week or so and go over with the class.
The character appearing in your clips here, with the glasses and bow tie, was there...but the only other character that appeared with him was a large but juvenile hippopotamus wearing overalls. In the final frame when a punchline was delivered one of the buttons fastening the shoulder straps of his overalls would pop.
Does this character ring a bell in regards to this strip?

Sorry to say, the cratered economy has caused Taschen to put several projects on the back burner while the company concentrates on its core titles. They've never done a car design book and a bum economy has made them skittish. The book is done, it's even been translated into four languages. I've been paid in full. But still, Cartopia languishes in limbo. I will be giving a talk ion this subject Feb. 20, 2012 as part of Palm Springs Modernism Week.

My husband started singing part of this song this morning, but we could not remember the rest of it. I'm sooo glad I found this and the song. I loved it as a kid and still love it as a mother.

I remember searching for Boomerang online a few years ago and reading something about KOMO cleaning out their vaults and throwing all of the Boomerang episodes and puppets into the dumpster. I just looked again to see if I could find the article/blog that I read, but no luck. If anyone has any copies of this or any inclination to bug KOMO and see what can be done about the licensing involved with getting dvds made of this show, it might be high time to get busy on that! I would be utterly crushed to see such an important piece of local history vanish forever.

I worked for Sea Galley in Spokane, Wa across from now called arena. I miss the customers and my co workers. It was the best in it's time and should have made it! Wish it was still around.....guess I gotta make that trio to Yakima someday.

Had dinner at the Anchorage Sea Galley one week ago and at the Yakima Sea Galley just a few hours ago. I'll take Anchorage's any day. At least they serve Oysters Rockefeller.
