Picked one up from KHG back in May. Since then it's been movin' - LA, San Diego, San Antonia, Seattle, SF, Atlanta...then 3 weeks in Europe and in 2 weeks in Japan. It's a really nice guitar and works as advertised. Fits neatly into the overhead bin, not to bad lug about, no problems with security. Did have some fun in Frankfurt when the security guy asked nicely if I'd mind opening it up to show off, then called over his buddies to check it out (there are guitar players everywhere).

It so sweat to have a guitar with me where ever I go. Even locally, it's handy to have a compact package I can take anywhere. The neck is nice, the sound really sweat. Most of the time it's through my pocket pod in the hotel room, but through a real amp it sounds really good, I feel like I could use it anywhere.

The case works. It works great as a backpack, especially riding the trains all over Japan (lots of walking!). I'd add more internal pockets in the laptop compartment, and a couple outside pockets for travel stuff (boarding pass, bottle of water, etc) to make it perfect.

Can't say enough about KHG. Set it up perfectly, and on short notice. As always the service was fantastic. Keith is the go-to guy for anything guitar as far as I'm concerned.

Just a quick question. I have a 72 thin line tele reissue, with the humbucking style pickups. Is it a big problem to change out the pickguard and put in traditional tele style single coils?

This is great....here I am in England with a lovely old 1969 EBO bass with a broken truss rod, and now I know I need to remove a short section of the finger board to get to the other end of the rod. I did consider using the Stew/Mac kit to bore deeper into the nut end of the neck and run some more thread onto the old rod, but somehow that did not seem right as these basses are pretty weak in that area, and I didn't want to remove wood there. Also, those tools are way too expensive. All I need now is some warmer weather, and some courage.

A great video clip - thanks!

Hey Keith,

I'm getting a distorted hissy type trail from my delay, but it only happens when on the gain channel. Any idea what would cause this, and how I could fix the problem?

Here is my setup:

Guitar --> Planet Waves strobe tuner --> Boss NS-2 --> Voodoo Lab GCX Audio switcher --> rear feed thru --> loop 1 --> into Mesa Dual Rec (2 channel rack mount) --> loop 2 - BBE Sonic Maximizer (channel A) --> loop 3 - BBE SM (channel B) --> loop 4 - Boss CE-5 --> loop 5 - EH Electric Mistress --> loop 6 - Boss DD-3 --> loop 7 Channel Switching for Mesa

Loops 2 - 6 all run through the effects loop and are controlled by the Voodoo Lab Ground Control Pro.

I just got this Voodoo Lab setup a few weeks ago, and everything works great except my delay. I've never had any issues with this delay prior to setting it up in this configuration.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!!

Thanks,

Mike
