This is great, Kevin. I'll be checking a few of these out. I agree, it's always helpful to hear what others are using.

Amy, I'll contact offline to make sure I understand your question. I assume you mean the mandatory standardized testing that MN requires. Our oldest alternates between the SAT and ACT, our middle goes with the Explore test, and our youngest goes with the Peabody. For the Peabody, a certified instructor comes to our house and administers it.

This is a long shot - but I was wondering what testing you use for homeschooling. I am a fellow Victorian and this was our first year embarking on the journey of homeschooling. Any help you might be able to offer would be greatly appreciated!!!! Thanks !!! Amy

Thomas, I know several people that feel that way and use nothing more than plain txt and it works perfectly for them. For me, I need more structure than that, and don't have the trust issue, but I hear where you're coming from.

This is so tied into people's learning styles too, that I think you just cannot have a 'one size fits all' approach. Some people I know live by their whiteboards :)

I wanted to be a big fan of omnifocus. I gave it the good 'ol college try, along with a string of other productivity apps. But I keep coming back to plain txt. For me, the #1 rule of GTD is, "Trust Your System", and I never felt that trust with mac-only, graphical, proprietary format, apps.
