I love that movie so much. It’s kind of ridiculous how many times I’ve seen it. Thanks for this interview with Mr. Rankin. He’s a talented guy. His short films are totally wild. And I’ve loved Ray Wise for more years than I care to admit. That guy’s amazing!

I haven’t listened to the cast yet, as I’m at work right now, but I got a chance to see this movie over the weekend (thank you HDNet Movies). I really liked it upon seeing it, but I’ve thought about it a lot over the weekend. The acting was really good, but it’s a movie that once it was over, it really dated itself. It’s main story follows a man who watches a singing competition where there is one guy that’s awful and he becomes a big star due to being awful (William Hung) and he also watches a teen birthday show (My Super Sweet 16). Both of these things happened years ago, and neither are relevant. This played more like Bobcat standing on a soapbox talking about the things he hates in entertainment, and thinking about that, it’s not as entertaining as it should be. I’m happy I saw this, but I don’t need to see it again.

A good movie for a video game podcast would be, The Wizard. It stars Fred Savage, some girl and some other little kid who all go to Nevada to play Super Mario Brothers 3.

Funny enough, I think the other movie Donny is talking about is MAZES AND MONSTERS, which ironically also stars Tom Hanks. It was based on a book about something that happened to a 16 year old kid named James Egbert in 1979. So, Donny your not crazy, but you do seem to subconsciously have a thing for Tom Hanks movies.
