That sounds like something went odd with saving the code to your machine since the error is on the last line like that. Did you copy/paste from a browser? If so make sure no funny characters got into the code file. I just copied and pasted it on my machine into a new file and didn't have any trouble with perl 5.8.8.

This looks to be a very elegant solution (I've tried the default timestamp option and it is too verbose). Unfortunately, running the code above gives me this error:

Can't modify item in scalar assignment at /PATH/ line 25 near "};"

Any ideas?

I bought my gold card about 7 days at the starbucks at edgewood and us 31 in indianapolis. I got it because some other regulars Starbucks thought it was a good idea. When I bought it, it was on the day shift, and the manager explained that I would have free refills on drip and tea. The evening shift came on and the manager and the staff were very unfriendly and were charging me the 50 cents for the refill. When I asked about it, the cashier had a blank look on her face and said she did not know. So I asked about the gold card, and the night manager came over as well as someone from the day shift who understood. The night manager was condescending to me and spoke to me as if I was an idiot, and tossed a pamphlet at me and told me to read it. The pamphlet was not about the gold bucks card it was about something completely different.

So I just bought a cup of tea, because they did not give me a free refill. And I would hate to even ask for hot water, because I think they will charge me for it. I think it makes a HUGE difference in the staff who wait on you. The women working here this evening seem like they are overcharging for everything I ordered and being really obstinate about trying to charge for 2 bags when I usually only get 1 and at the same time, unfriendly. Very unstarbucks-like.

I tried twice to explain that I was confused because of different policy at other times and at other starbucks.

Not sure if its such a good deal after all.

Hey Don, I don't think you can load multiple libraries in TTYtter so I'll have to combine the code from the two modules into one which will be pretty straightforward. I'll go ahead this weekend and put together a combined module and put it up for download soon.
