Thanks Spencers. We were talking earlier about us eating Thanksgiving together many years ago. Hale said, "we ate Thanksgiving with the Spencer's?!" Good times. Glad to hear that it was enjoyable. All our best from St. Louis!

I enjoyed this! I read it as our kitchen has been cleaned, bellies are filled and leftovers are tucked away in the fridge....we had an early start (6:30am) since scott had to eat at 1:30 and be back to work... Food was delicious, kids were happy and now I'm sleepy!! Take care, Fearys!

Zada Janes looks awesome. The Michael T's Amaretto French Toast especially. What I didn't like about it that using local farmers is supposed to decrease the cost of the food all around; and ZJ charges more for it. Drawback for me. Too bad you can't find a finer breakfast establishment; 5 hours is too far to drive every Sunday.

I posted a rebuttal to your review. Do you not allow opinions differing to yours?

I have to say I disagree with your comments about the "bottleneck". From my many visits to this same Silver Diner, I have experience nothing but speed and efficiency. I was also helped by other servers than my own. I consider that to be teamwork. I noticed my own server also helping our other diners. I noticed many a time when the waitresses, cashier, and managers helped out the "coordinator", also known as an expoditer, when needed. I have eaten there during the week and been in and out in under a half hour. I have eaten there during their busiest times on the weekend with my family and been in and out in under 50 minutes. Try doing that at any other restaurant worth eating at on a Sunday morning. I highly recommend the Silver Diner on West Broad St. Try it for yourself and you will see.
