As well I did not need to specify the DirectoryIndex or any of the Options sections when using php-fpm. Still working on how to get phpmyadmin setup with php-fpm.

I have been testing a similar setup. Do you really need suexec in this configuration? If you set the user in the php-fpm.conf then php scripts execute as that user. As well you can easily add chroot to this setup to make it even more secure.

@James Hancockk: You’re very welcome. I am very interested, once you’ve had it running for a while, in how well you think it preforms versus stock or just fastcgi or anything else you have noticed good or bad using this combination.

Hopefully soon, this complicated how to will be a bit outdated as phpfpm will be included with php.

I mean, it’s memory consumption, startup times and the fact that it’s more like a browser with player functionality than a music player…

Even though 0xDeaDBeeF is written in Hindi dialect of C, it looks much more promising…as a music player
